Mcaffee + 2.5" HDD = mollassas-like speed. Why are the biggest names in AV the absolute slowest. Damn thing is like malware itself. And people wonder why I don't run heavy AV

    I think Windows Defender Antivirus has gotten a lot better over the years I’d actually prefer it over McAfee. IT admins just need either a GPO or Intune to change advanced settings like sensitivity.

    IT admins at work here seem to have the AV configured to be quite aggressive, as even our (few) SSD based systems can slow down a lot. (Note: not the people using Mcafee, the Mcafee system was an individual).

    I've gotten to the point where i run defender and have a few free tools on a flashdrive
