  1. Great giveaway! I would like a mouse or keyboard because at the moment I have a old keyboard with a PS / 2 connector (HP eewwwwww) and an old Logitech mouse (generic) and overall I think these are sad. I also LOVE macros, as they make work A LOT faster sometimes.
  2. I think this forum is full of humorous potential. Hit me with your best puns! I would tell you a chemistry joke but I wouldn't get a reaction.
  3. The website documentation usually has what I need. But you can get really good reference books at Indigo for cheap.
  4. Python can't do anything for you here mate.
  5. Have you tried cleaning out the slot that the RAM was in? Try reinstalling the video card?
  6. If you have Firefox you can use Ghostery. It can block ALL ads trackers, and if your paranoid, cookies.
  7. Silicon Power makes fairly cheap consumer grade external HDD's that are shock proof. They also have a wide range of operating temperatures. I have dropped mine many, many times (even down concrete stairs) without loss of data or corruption. But Seagate and Western Digital make high quality and good looking HDD's.
  8. If you have something that can make a guest wifi you can go into the routers settings through your browser then you can make a guest wifi and limit it's bandwidth.
  9. HA! Good luck configuring Arch in under 4 hours. I would personally use raspian, as it can take full advantage of your Rasperry Pi.
  10. HOW DARE YOU COMPARE LINUX TO WINDOWS VISTA. But something like Linux Mint or Lubuntu would be good for your old hardware and are fairly similair to windows.
  11. A dot bin file is a very old type of file that usually can only be accessed by turining it into a burnable disc image. You can extract the files using "Magic ISO" or just turn the dot bin file into a mountable image.
  12. Ubuntu byfar has the best touch screen support and integration
