  1. I'd go i5/i7 in that situation, even more so given ya don't have to then buy more RAM. Plus, more anecdotally my i7-4770 ain't failing me.
  2. Hi. I was looking to get some LED fans for the front of my Corsair Carbide 100R, and I'm going for a purple theme so I've been thinking Corsairs SP 120 or 140 LED fans, but they have an opaque frame and I wasn't sure how much that would hinder light escaping the grille on the sides of the front panel, as that's the only place it can get out. My plan's to buy a pair of 120mm ones anyway, since if they look eehh I'd be getting them anyway for the top exhaust but before I did that wanted to check on here to see if anyone'd tried putting any LED fans with opaque frames in either this case, or one with a similar issue to offer thoughts. Thanks for readin'!
  3. Oooh, actually.. I just checked, and the HTC One M9 might be within my price bracket looking at new listings on ebay NVM. I think I accidentally missed the '330' for '230' or something. derp. M8's looking good though... I /do/ like the idea of stereo speakers on a phone... and all metal.
  4. oh, I was mistaken about the m8's storage. thanks! I know the bloat's meant to be bad on the Zenfone, but heard the worst can be uninstalled? Might try and keep an eye on some m8's, I'd forgotten about it having IR, which I actually want
  5. Hi, I'm aware there are a lot of topics on here for phone suggestions as it is, and I am going to look through some more, but thought it wouldn't hurt to start a new one since I've got a vague idea what I want anyway and mostly wanted some extra opinions, or if there were any phones I've missed. I'm getting a new phone ideally at the end of March, which really can't cost more than £230. So far I've been looking at getting an Asus Zenfone 2, since from what I've gathered it performs very well for the price, and I can get a 64GB model for that price. I was also looking at the Moto G4 Plus, it has less storage, apparently performs a little bit more poorly, and has 2GB of RAM. One other option was the HTC One M8, but I was thinking it's a bit on the older side now, and with the 32GB of non expandable storage. I'm not sure what balance of features and such I'm after, though I want the screen ideally to be 5.5", and no smaller than 5". Front facing speakers would be ideal, but I'm thinking that might be a point I'll have to compromise. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? Thanks in advance. EDIT I realised, it might be worth noting the only smartphones I've had before are an HTC Wildfire S, and a Vodafone Smart first 6, so, I'm figuring even a 'wrong' choice is probably still a good one
  6. The Axon 7 looks pretty damn awesome imo. I almost got a ZTE phone as my first smartphone, but ended up getting a Wildfire S instead. One thing I like about the look of Axon is easily the fact it has dual speakers, most of the phones that had those seem to have moved away from them, which is a real shame.
  7. Currently.. A Logitech Media Keyboard 600, which I bought almost entirely because of the volume wheel. A Roccat Kone Pure, a SteelSeries Qck that's looking more than a little sorry for itself by now, and a Logitech G430 headset which I forget to use because speakers, which are in fact a pair of beige things that came from an old Packard Bell CRT monitor YEARS ago. I do have a few other pairs of speakers, but these ones just sound the best
  8. It looks pretty neat to me, though I've admittedly not had any experience with projectors
  9. That sounds pretty hot, the 670 didn't really go over 75 as far as I remember, but if going higher than that's fine, then it should be good.. and thanks for replyin' ^-^
  10. Hi. A few months ago my graphics card (a GTX 670) decided to kick the bucket, and since then I've been running on integrated graphics while saving for a new card. My card options are probably rather limited, as I have an Alienware X51, so it's ultra compact, with only a 330W PSU AND requires the GPU to have a reference cooler. I was originally planning on getting a 4GB GTX 960 as it apparently performs a bit better than a 670 while being cooler and using less power. I was wondering if an RX 480 would work in the case instead, as it's obviously better than the 960, and not all that more expensive last time I checked. I wasn't sure, how hot would the RX 480 get relative to the GTX 670?
  11. I've got a Samsung 320GB HDD in my laptop (which I added after the original died), but my laptop's a netbook from 2010
  12. I have... A SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, WiiU, Gameboy Colour, 2x Gameboy Advance SP's, a dead DS lite, DSi, 3DS, Megadrive (dunno if that works though, not got the wiring), an old pong console, Xbox, Xbox 360, and a PS2 (which I got this week). Hoping to get an Xbox One at some point though.
  13. I'd really like the Kova (though admittedly both mice look awesome). My first gaming mouse a few years ago was the Kova+ and I loved that, using a Kone Pure now and that's even better
