  1. Intel 12th Gen mobile release date: When can you buy a laptop with Intel's latest? | Windows Central according to this article they should be comming soon!
  2. if you computer had lost power, then the first time you turn it on after it gets power again will make it do that.
  3. that may look ugly, and you can find creative ways to support the one side, but generally unless if the sag is pretty bad it wont damage anything. If i where you id go find something black to support that one side but that can also act as a decoration that i could put in my computer.
  4. I have not even considered any other keyboards once i got an IBM Model M, the only upgrade would be a IBM Model F
  5. What about taking an old heavily depreciated luxury car and giving it a tech makeover, stuff like the mercedes 2004-2009 w211 E350 is really cheap and it was VERY advanced for its time. or if u want even older something like a w163 ML430
  6. I tried it once, anyone with a semi-decent computer doesnt need the cpu or ram limiters because chromium is already supposed to put tabs to sleep...at least edge does. Rather than coming up with a limiter, make it use less in the first place. Other than that i have had friends use it only because of the gamery theme is has, but i dont care also i have this bug with firefox and opera gx where it will create 5 million clones of itself inside the volume mixer which annoyed me to all hell I thought to myself, whats left for me? A really shady company...tbh i dont care THAT much about that...but the browser doesnt really give me that much for me to justify keeping it I actually just uninstalled it when it would REFUSE to load my 3 servers remote management pages, 2 dell servers, so that would be iDRAC, and an HP server, so that would be iLO.
  7. If you motherboard is high quality the best that can happen is that all your fans light up very dim or not at all. The worst that can happen is that the load put on the single header will heat up and start frying electrical components that are getting too hot.
  8. I know some computers, if they are new enough, can have their settings saved to a config file that you can put on a USB, however this is slightly different for each computer.
  9. Bruh This coould have been a simple case of some teenagers having some fun. People who play GTA V are arguably doing worse all the time and its not like their doing it irl.
  10. Assuming you already tired reading the manual and trying what in said in there, you may have a damaged motherboard.
  11. SMT? you mean like amd's multi-threading technology? i have no idea why that would eat up more ram...amd was always the one who had very weird problems
  12. well at this point the 1070ti being preferable is kinda a moot point anyway since it wouldnt be wise for me to invest in geforce 10 series again. except for the 1080ti or something like that
  13. well the OP hasnt exactly given us any graphs. Also there is nothing better than testing, for him it literally costs 5 min of removing or putting in some more ram sticks and thats it. If he find that the lower clock speed really does affect his performance that much vs having more ram then by all means take it out and sell it on ebay i donno. But just like AMD fx at 3GHz vs 5Ghz literally doesnt change the fact thats amd fx is crap, it could be very well the case that for his workload, the more ram if he needs that much more than outweighs the cost of 2-5 fps if thats the difference it makes. however we will never know until he specifically tests for his use case.
  14. yeah i tried 2 years ago to turn on an option in a lenovo thinkpad called "legacy ide mode", intel said their chipset supported it but someone on the fourms here mentioned that lenovo specifically locked that away.
  15. also mixing and matching ram is not a problem, computers since the pentium II days where configured to just run the ram at the speed of the slowest dimm, thats how its always worked...and if it is actually a problem for AMD cpu's the AMD has the worst platform i have ever seen.....i am sure tho that AMD has not taken a step back in the regard tho
  16. What i basically said is that if you have the time, go and test having it vs not having it....its literally like comparing 2 similarly performaing gpus from amd and nvidia, excpect that your testing weather or not the more ram and less speed makes it better or worse for his use case
  17. that i would say is lenovo's fault, they have a history of locking down certain things except for their highest end thinkpads and whatnot
  18. I see this mega (red letter m thingy) in your windows explorer. i HIGHLY recommend against stuff like that, these are usually poorly coded and cause a LOT of problems that isnt usually windows's own fault
  19. Given that its an AMD based system, it takes a certain percentage of you ram to use for the vram for the integrated graphics, this is something you can usually change in the BIOS, just dont limit it too much.
  20. yeah given that you repeatedly and disrespectfully, without proof, keep saying that "this is complete BS" i doubt you have any ground to stand on and have no useful information to bring to the conversation. Heck who would believe you over Linus.
  21. IEEE 802.11 - Wikipedia this article lists every single type of wifi standard and their speeds and differences...rather than me trying to explain poorly ill just refer you to this link
  22. i just dont know how far i should go up in terms of gpu, there arent that many examples of my system online, assuming i upgrade my workstation too i can just go for a 3070ti or something...maybe wait for intels gpus XD
