  1. Yes I have a wired connection and I understand the need for a better router, but is there any way I could do this without purchasing something? I need my internet back as soon as possible.
  2. My internet was fine a while ago but when I came back inside from being outside for an hour my phone wasn't receiving service to load my web pages. I thought it was my iPhone so I turned it off and on and still no internet. I unfortunately use one of those generic AT&T router/wireless combo units. All the status LEDs are green at this point. I unplug it for five minutes, eat a banana and return to plug it. It powers on and everything seems fine until the LED labeled service turns red. So at this point I only have internet on my 4g connection and I need my service back as I have a job that requires me to use the internet daily. Can someone please help me figure out what to do to fix it? I looked up the manual and found that this meant Red = Device attempted to become IP con- nected and failed (no DHCP response, no PPPoE response, 802.1x authen- tication failed, no IP address from IPCP, etc.). The Red state times out after two min- utes and the Service indica- tor light returns to the Off state. The device is an AT&T Arris NVG510 provided by my ISP when we upgraded our internet. I have no idea where to begin. I'm a complete noob to networking. UPDATE: I came home later today to see my internet service returned to normal. This hasn't happened before and I'm just curious as what to see what exactly was the problem. The unit was just left on the entire day with nothing being done to it. Is there any explanation?
  3. Can any audiophiles recommend headphones ($100~$175) and if needed. an amp ($100~$150) to interface with the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD>>>>http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102033 This is going to be used mainly for gaming. A ModMIc 3.0 will be used for the headphones. http://www.modmic.com/collections/frontpage/products/modmic-3-0 And if there are better options, please make a recommendation.
  4. It may not seem like high end hardware, but I'm looking to attain better temps than what I am currently getting with a h100 and I know my card than take the over volting and frequencies. And I know for a fact that a loop doesn't cost that much unless you're using high end water blocks.
  5. Hey guys... was wondering if someone could help me out with this. I want to make a custom loop for an i5 3570k and MSI 7870 Ghz edition(not twin frozr or hawk edition) This is going into a Fractal Design Define r4 with a black/blue color scheme. Could someone help me with a parts list for this build like tubing, radiator, fittings, reservoir, cpu/gpu water block, pump( preferably speed variant) Also I have a h100 and I was wondering if I could mod the radiator and use it.
  6. My headphones aren't high end, but I acquired some Sony MDR-XB500 a while ago and they have been serving me well. They have a 400hm impedance.
  7. I was looking around and I found this on Amazon. Microphone -http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007NQH98/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER Scissor stand - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007PR4ZFM/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1BREQ8I6OHSBG Just found these with XLR connections. Is there any way to convert from XLR to 3.5mm or USB? Any do I need an external audio interface or DAC for my microphone? Any other recommendations such as an all in one setup?
  8. I would like some help picking up some audio equipment for my desktop. I needed some help with finding a good quality microphone for voice recording and also to use when gaming. I already have a set of studio headphones. I was wondering if someone can recommend a studio microphone scissor arm stand for my desk and a good microphone to record some decent audio and also to use when in game. I would prefer this option than an under par "gaming headset." I was also wondering to make the most of this equipment I would like a recommended sound card or DAC for this setup. The headphones utilize a 3.5mm connector btw. Thanks for any recommendations. My budget for this setup would be 150~250 dollars.
  9. Thank you so much everybody with your feedback! Ugh, my stupidity. All I needed was the motherboard's driver CD to install the Intel drivers for the LAN. Thanks everybody! Now I'm off to download my Never Settle Bundle thanks to everyone with their answers!
  10. Thanks guys. Yes I posted from a laptop. I'll try my motherboard's driver disk.
  11. I recently put together my new gaming PC with an MSI Z77A-G45 as my motherboard. I just installed a new copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit and everything went smoothly. Then I tried plugged my Ethernet cable from my motherboard's NIC to my home modem. My computer couldn't detect any networks and did not recognize the Ethernet cable being plugged in, although my NIC is lit up green and has a flashing yellow light. Windows is telling me that my network adapter driver is missing. I tried searching through the device manager to see what drivers were installed and none were able to be detected. I don't have a router, just a standard at&t wireless/modem combo that was provided by my ISP. I'm stuck and everybody knows that a PC is useless without internet. Can somebody please give me some troubleshooting tips on connecting to the internet or what I can do to have my network adapter to update and function! Thanks.
  12. Hello Everybody! Not new to the forums, but one still one of my first posts. Me and a friend are currently planning to make a custom PC for a national competition known as SkillsUSA. We were entered in our computer technician class at our high school career center and we entered the computer modification contest. We are not noobs to any computer terminology so by all means, go all out! Our contest consists of any computer modifications that mostly consist of a completley custom case such as a computer inside a microwave, piano, motorcycle, radio, etc. We have our components all planned out and are planning to spend almost $2000 on a gaming centric build with a full size ATX motherboard and a last generation i5 3570k and a SLI configuration. We have an idea of a custom desk with visible components similar to this-http://www.damngeeky.com/2012/06/21/2449/integrated-computer-desk-completely-visible-interiors-fine-woodwork.html Any and all comments are welcome. Any other ideas that could be intresting? Or any suggestions and tips if you agree with our idea? Thanks!
  13. We should vote for Linus to pick one of these up and unbox and test it for the audience. If he gives a good review and approves the build quality, I would totally pick one up!
