  1. I just did a typing speed test and got 76 words a minute so yee I suppose? My left hand does space, and the left side of the keyboard mainly. However if I type something on the bottom right of the keyboard for example b, n, m, , and if the next key is on the upper right y, u, i, o then I will type the top part with my left hand. My right hand usually just does the right side of the keyboard and never really goes off.
  2. I heard about it by the bing news feed that shows up when you go to bing. Thanks for replying though I will keep trying to find it.
  3. This isn't a question about programming or code however it is about an event I heard about a while ago. So I heard about this event that for a week this organization would teach younger students how to program. Granted it was a very basic form of programming similar to Scratch but they learned some none the less. I can't remember what the organization was called or what they called that week so I figured other programmers may have heard of it and remember what it was since I can't. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. I've always thought about what do I lose if God isn't real? Sure if he's not then I wasted some time and money however if he is real then I get to go to heaven. Also I think there is more of evidence that he is real then not. To me it requires much more faith if you believe we came from a bacteria (not saying all atheists believe in evolution) than if there is a God and he created us. I am a bit curious though, for those of you who are atheists then how do you believe we got here?
  5. Ok so It looks like the general consensus is the EVGA PSU is bad while the SeaSonic one is good. Due to me using parts from my first computer that I've upgraded over the years it will be a i5 4590 cpu with a gtx 970 gpu. I will do to see if I can get a good deal.
  6. The parts that I will be using for it will be around 350 watts so I wanted a bit more wattage if I ever upgrade it.
  7. So for a project of mine I wanted to reuse my old pc parts and make a HTPC. The only part I don't have would be a power supply which I need to be at least 400 watts. Due to this just being a side project I would rather not spend more than $40 on a unit to power the pc. I found a EVGA PSU that looks like it fits my requirements however i'm not incredibly sure how good it is so some feedback on it would be nice. So what would be the cheapest/most efficient power supply for $40ish? EVGA PSU: https://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=100-N1-0550-L1
  8. I get a constant 60fps with an i7 4790k at 4ghz and gtx 970 on ultra. Got the game for free when I bought my gtx 1070 and the performance is the same. Have to say it's not my favorite game and Ubisoft really should've reworked the driving (watch dogs 1 for me was acceptable but I can't drive in 2). I think it's a solid game however it needed some more work before it released as the story is a bit lackluster (as of where i'm at now) however I feel free roam isn't terrible.
  9. I was pretty happy with the games I picked up this year. Quantum Break The Talos Principle The Stanley Parable and last but not least: MW2 (still play it on the ps3 so I figured while its on sale grab it for pc)
  10. I have always considered being above 1 a positive K/D and under a negative. If someone just has a 5K and 5D I call it 1 K/D. Seems I'm in the minority here but I've heard it called a 1 K/D by many people or a "standard score." I've heard standard score because when you first join the match you have 0K and 0D. If you later have 5K and 5D then its a standard score. Considering everyone else I suppose this answer isn't the best but it's what I've always heard it called.
  11. Ok I will plan on getting the cheaper one thanks for the input guys.
  12. So I've been planning to buy a gtx 1070 and I've come across two different ones. I'm unsure of which to buy as the specs seem the same and they both come with Watch Dogs 2. As one is $20 cheaper would I be giving up any performance between the two? Thanks for any feedback. 13. Well I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my wireless card and now my ethernet and wireless are working again. Don't know what the issue is but it seems to be fixed for now.
  14. On the computer that can't connect to the internet both the wireless LAN card and ethernet configuration properties say the device is working. I have also restarted my computer since this happened.
  15. Just used it on a older laptop we had lying around and it worked fine.
  16. Direct ethernet does not work from the wifi extender I have next to my computer. The extender is working properly so it shouldn't be the issue and I've used the ethernet port on it before.
  17. I am assuming I have the right drivers as my computer was working 2 days ago. I went into device manager and it says that the best driver software is already installed and the devices are working. I am using windows 10.
  18. So after turning on my computer today it cannot connect to my internet via wifi or ethernet. I have turned the computer and the router off to try to get it to connect again but it will not. I have 3 other devices that are currently using the internet with no issue so I am unsure whether my wifi card and the ethernet port on my motherboard have gone bad or if something else has gone wrong? Any help would be appreciated in getting my main pc back online.
  19. My first ever speed was 0.5 down and 0.3 up... I now have 4 down and 1 up and it's still terrible to download games. I'm just glad I can now play online games because before the ping was usually in the 500-600s and now I can usually get below 150. Sadly no one else provides internet in my area so RIP...
  20. I don't know about the companies that are in your area however I know for a fact companies in my area would still raise prices. It has happened every time we have had a minimum wage increase. The companies in my area aren't really industrial (we have a few though) so they don't give out more products/services. They instead lay off workers and hike the prices up so they continue to earn money. I can see how increasing minimum wage could potentially help the economy but in order for that to happen businesses can't change the costs/quality of products/services.
  21. Thanks @Thunderpup I may send them an email asking about the battleships.
  22. I would rather not have minimum wage rise. The thing is everyone who earns minimum will end up getting paid more while others who are paid more than minimum won't get extra. Companies then try to compensate for paying their employees more by raising prices of different products/services. The people who earned more now start to earn less because of the prices increasing and people who earn minimum wage don't change at all financially. Minimum wage employees complain that they want a job and the cycle keeps happening. Eventually the economy will crash because no one can afford the basic necessities. I just don't understand how most people think you should be able to live off minimum wage. Minimum wage jobs are meant for kids in highschool/college to earn a little bit of money (unless the company is ripping you off but thats another issue). Its not meant to support an entire family and for you to buy whatever you want.
  23. So I've been given a homework assignment where I need to find out how battleships in the 1900s were built and how they are currently built. I then need to write a paragraph about the differences between how they were made. I thought it would be a pretty easy assignment however I can't seem to find anything about the process of which battleships are made? I'm not sure if I'm not putting in the correct keywords however I would've thought "how were battleships constructed in the 1900s" would bring up results. Any help would be appreciated on finding how they were/are made since I can't find anything somehow.
