  1. Also make sure you don't have manufacturer "malware" installed. I had severe issues with my 6800xt due to Msi Dragon Center.
  2. Just to mark this as solved, but I installed an older driver (20.11.2 WHQL) driver, and now all the issues are gone and everything runs smoothly. I ran in to issues again, and seems like MSI Dragon Center and MSI SDK was the root. As soon as I removed those programs all my issues disappeared. Now also with the latest driver
  3. Put the 6800xt back in and did some testing. Did a couple of Heaven runs and Time spu runs, and it seems to run those fine - nice and stable clocks. In Timespy I got a graphics score of 17 897, which to me seems good, comparing to guru3d’s benchmark. Also BfV runs better now, but not as well as I’d hope - 130fps ish which seems low compared to TPU’s 190fps albeit with a better cpu, but should cpu have that much to say on performance? CoD is running like sh*t, but I notice that it bogs down my whole cpu, but only when I have a AMD gpu installed, so I’m thinking that has to be a driver issue
  4. Thanks for all the advice. Will do some testing. Any idea what games software I can use to test that reliable results? Heaven benchmark crashes for some reason for me.
  5. So finally got a hold of a 6800xt and got super stoked. Uninstalled my Nvidia driver with DDU, removed it, installed the AMD card and the latest drivers. Immidiately i notice that the core clocks are all over the place (compared to what I'm used to with nvidia), but I think nothing of it. Played some wow and today i wanted to play some Warzone. Clock speeds again all over the place, almost no utilization, CPU pinned and I'm hitting 10-20 fps in the menus, and all of a sudden the game freezes and the screens turn of. I try to reset my via the reset button, but nothing happens. I hold the power button until the systems turns off completely and turn it back on, and the screens are back. My system is a z370 board with a 8600k, and 16gb of ram. 850w seassonic prime px psu (with two cables). I play at 1440@165hz Temps were never over 70c. Swapped back to a 3060ti that I also have, and everything is back to normal with solid speeds etc. I also had Fortnite installed since my nephew was here recently and i thought to try that since that's known to be fairly optimized (at least what I can recall), and 9fps while dropping and 20 roaming around the woods. Tried Bfv as well, 10-20 fps. Have also tried to format my system drive and install AMD drivers completely clean (zero trace of nvidia) but no luck at all. Is my GPU dead?
  6. Would be really cool to see a really maxed out mITX build with perhaps dual watercooled GPU, but in a really tiny enclosure. Think something like this.
  7. I actually use RDP for the most part on that system. "files" are basically torrents. Cool thanks for the respose. I'm really not into the mood to have an adventure with that server, since people use the plex service alot, so I think I will just stick with w10 for now. It has served me well the last years, so why mess up the formula.
  8. Hey Everyone! I thought I would ask a question. Currently I have a mini-itx media server with windows 10 installed. I installed windows 10, for ease of use, but I have to be honest and say that it comes with its limitations, mainly it being windows and that I have to remote in with VNC to do certain stuff. I was thinking about installing FreeNAS, to make it a bit more reliable, and perhaps get some more performance out of it. I would think of my self as moderately technical, but I'm not that familiar with nas solutions. I have a Home Assistant raspberry pi, and I find it a bit challenging at times to configure it. My question is the following; Would freeNAS; cover my needs? allow for easier access to the drives on my windows gaming PC, Macbook pro? easier to remote into? perform better? more reliable? Be hard to setup? What do I use my server for Mainly downloading certain items photo backups plex hosting What apps to I use qBittorrent Plex media server What hardware do I have Msi z170i itx motherboard i7 6700 (non k) 16gb ram 256gb NVME m2 256gb Sata ssd 2x 6TB drives 8TB drive Asus PCE-AC68 Pci Network card I also have a 2011 Mac mini which I use to host the following Unifi Controller Tautulli Thank you for your time, and I grealy appreciate any input
  9. @Alex Bu what are your opinion now?
  10. If you are signed up on floatplane.com, how can i get access, to the floatplane forums and more importantly Discord floatplane channels?
  11. Why isn't this listed on youtube? @LinusTech
  12. If you are going for silence, i would advise against the vardars. The ball bearings are terribly loud, and when you run them slow, you can hear it pretty clearly. And with the IPPC's they also have a annoying "ticking" from the motor because of the extra poles (compared to regular NF series.) I asked noctua about this directly, and it's not a fault. They are ment for industry applications, and therefore the silence is taking a backseat compared to performance. I would strongly recommend the NF A14 (if you don't mind the colors), the Fractal Venturi HP140 or Be Quiet silent wings 3, but I would personally recommend the venturi.
  13. What about fan speeds and clocks? Just because the temps arent the same, dosent mean that there werent any differences. This video proved nothing. Hopefully GN will do a proper video on it. Also, 6:14 video with only 4:26 worth of actual content? Thats pretty bad
