Project Sleight of Hand
Hello everyone and welcome to another Buildlog of mine,
my name is Jojo Haraldsson and i am a 32 year old casemodder from iceland,
(for those of you who didn´t know)
I recently started another build for a "client" and i would like to share the progress
with you, since i am coming up with a few usefull ideas for the Corsair Air 540 Case.
The reason for me calling the project "slight of hand" is simply due to the fact that things dissapear from one place and suddenly pop up somewhere else,(happens to everyone )
Lets get started, enjoy, and don´t be shy to comment or ask questions
along this beatiful journey of a casemod !!!
If you would like to be the first to see all updates on my builds you can follow me on my FB page

The Be Quiet Dark Base 900 Pro
is all coming along,
still waiting on my cpu block i was hoping to use in this build,
and some more watercooling gear like tubing and fittings,
but in the meanwhile ideas come up and why not use the time and integrate them
did a small cover for the top radiator with a small lip on the bottom,so i am able to cast some "indirect" light on to the gpu and my watercooled nvme Drive. )samsung 950 pro,
Used 4mm acrylic and bend the bottom 45 degrees to the front so the LED light does no throw to much glow to the bottom but more to the frontþ
also installed my custom ROG logo on to the motherboardcover.
more to come soon.

I think you are missunderstaning what cover means,
by cover i mean covering up the rough looking side of the radiator which also is a different black then the rest of the case.
i am NOT covering the fins where the heat dissapates out through the top of the case.

Hey everyone,
So it is time to continue ,
started this week on my own front panel door,
made out of 4mm acrylic,
and also did a cover around the fans to make it look cleaner while showing off the fans
Huge Shoutout to Bequiet for making this possible
Thank you !!

There are ventilation holes on the side all around the case ,where air is entering in the front and exiting in the back and top.

Really impressed with what you've done so far. I also want to thank you for showing that fill port design - I actually went back and changed my loop slightly behind the reservoirs so that it is very similar to yours. Not only is it much easier to access but I was also able to bleed the air out of it which I couldn't do before.

Hey everyone ?
the mainboard is all together again.
i think the paintjob to compliment the Fractal Design Case came out alright.
also testfitted the gpu...
and found that a bracket to hold it steady is totally nessacery.
so thats what i will be doing next ?

Hey everyone,
My name is Jojo Haraldsson for those of you who don´t know me,i am a 31 year old Casemodder from iceland, and i would like to invite you to enjoy my buildlog for my next build.
It is time again that i do a Build for my (by now) 11 year old Daughter.
This will be a simple incase computer build for gaming.
Enjoy the Buildlog and comment if you have questions or just want to talk
Now lets get this going........ but first i have to say,
HUGE Thank you to my sponsors for this Build ,
Fractal Design, and Icemodz are making this possible, thank you guys
Part 1:
So the plans are as followed,
Removing the rear panel of the Fractal Define C Case and Building my own out of 3mm rustfree steel.
i had laying around a piece that almost fitted perfectly (i thought only shortening it would do)
but i had to drimm off the side a litte - 4mm to be exact.
then i had to file everyting to fit nicely, especially the corners they had to be a exact to fit nicely in the bottom and top panel.
after that i had to preinstall the mainboard and draw where the IO cutout had to go,from there the next step where to think about how i wanted to have the GPU,since the main reason for reconstructing my own backpanel was the polacement of the gpu in a differrent way.
after that it was simple, take the jigsaw with an ireon blade and cut out the two holes file everything down and make it look a little cleaner,
then go over everything with some sandpaper to make it "babybuttsmooth"
After everything was ready ,it was off to paint, first primer and then black matt paint to match the paint of the case (at least try).
let everything dry for 48 hours or so,the assemble everything.
next i painted the mainboard cover of the Asus Sabertooth Z77 Motherboard which will house a delidded 3770k which should be plenty
for gaming the next few years overclocked @ 4.6- 4.8 ghz.
and don´t worry the motherboard cover will not be so green in the end (these are only the first steps)
Stay tuned for more to come soon
