  1. Carpets will increase the amount of dust in a house. Also, do you have any dust filters on your system? Might be because you need your house itself more often and more thoroughly. Other than that, there isn't much you can do about dust in your house.
  2. I second the ASUS MG279Q. Have it myself and is a great monitor for all types for games.
  3. If you look at Nvidia's own website the price for the FE is 1259 euros (assuming you're dutch from the image) not sure why tweakers would say the last FE one sold is at that price. Nevertheless, it won't be worth it for the 2080ti to get a FE (unless you're water cooling). I've had two 970 windforce OC since it's release and never had a problem with them. Never had an EVGA card, but I've never heard any bad things about them. My suggestion is to get the card which appeals to you the most (do not know if aesthetics matter to you), the performce between them will be at max 5% I guess and I would suggest not to let your decision be based on delivery time as you're going to have to wait anyway.
  4. Everyone keeps saying do not buy... but it really depends on the situation. Yes, if you have 10 series, don't upgrade to RTX, not worth it imo. But, I currently have a 970 which is showing signs of retirement and am therefore looking to get the 2080. The price difference between the 2080 FE and the lowest priced 1080ti is about 100 euro for me, which are the 'lowest end' of the 1080ti bunch. On average the price difference is 50 euro in favor of a 1080ti. That price difference is worth it to me to get he lastest gen. As an example, the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti FTW3 GAMING ICX is ~150 euro more than the 2080. Plus, I do believe that drivers will help improve the performance of RTX cards in general gaming. RT might be neat but it will take a while before it becomes mainstream (if at all). I won't be buying it for RT, the amount of compute power is a pro for me aswell over a 1080ti.
  5. I'm in the same boat. I'd say wait 1-2 months and see how drivers will improve and maybe the price of the 2080 will go down. I won't recommend getting a 2080ti, definitely not worth the money. What is the price difference between the 1080ti and 2080 where you live? If your 980 is failing and the price difference is <100 then I'd say get the 2080. Otherwise get the 1080ti, it will last a couple more years.
  6. I agree it looks like that, but I'd say wait 1-2 months and see where we are then.
  7. Why would you want to do that? My guess is you'll lose even more money reselling the 1080ti at that point.
  8. Does anyone has an idea on how much the performance of the 1080(ti) improved the first couple of months after release due to driver updates etc? I was thinking of getting the 2080, but I'll probably wait a 1-2 months to see where it goes. (upgrading from a 970)
  9. Just to catch up on a post I did 6 months ago.. I'm considering buying the 2080, maybe, at the end of this year. We'll see how the drivers will improve. At the moment I have no interest anymore in getting an additional monitor. But I'll definitely won't be buying a monitor for more than 800 euros. And please take a moment to add punctuation to your future comments it's hard to read. And what up with the letter 'n' in your comment?
  10. Ah alright thanks, that explains it. I've never watched NCIX video's other than the ones Linus was in or referred to.
  11. Who is this Riley anyway? I had never seem him before on any LTT videos. It felt like some day he was just there and everyone was happy. I personally don't like the way he presents.
  12. This, and I think Nvidia even took it a step further and actually intended the 2080ti being the Titan, 2080 being the 1080ti and 2070 being the 1080. Which would explain the higher price for the current gen.
  13. I love them too! I've got the PC-O6SX
  14. The Alienware is also on my list, but I've read some reviews saying that when overclocked to 120 hz after a while the screen can start to flicker and you have to either return it of turn down the refresh rate back to 100 hz (also fine by me). I'm also waiting for the ASUS ProArt PA34V (IPS 1440p 100hz) although I'm not sure it will feature FreeSync of G-Sync.
  15. i don't know about all the others, but I have the MG279Q (IPS version) which I find an amazing monitor. If possible I would recommend going to a store and try some of them out.
  16. Oh really.. interesting. If that's true it will be a first time ever that AIB cards are released earlier than FE cards. Let us know on the 4th
  17. The same goes for me with AC and Tomb Raider. I trust those games to be great no matter what.
  18. No I don't believe so. All other release dates are set on or around the 20th of September. I doubt it will be 2 weeks earlier than that.
  19. Same here, I used to love MMORPGS (GW2) but I just cannot find the time anymore to play with others and keep up. I prefer single player games.
  20. I really hope there is an 3rd person view. Also, somehow I expected better graphics, but we'll see how the final game looks. Though I didn't watch the whole gameplay as I want to keep most of it a surpise.
  21. True, two different air flows bumping into one another can cause additional turbulence. @BuzStringer You should probably just try it out for noise and temps.
