  1. Haven't seen that ad as I don't have Facebook, but the only button up shirt they've released is the party shirt
  2. Heard back from ZeroLatency today. They explained that the employee at the location was fairly new and had not heard about the promotion. They said they have remedied the issue and offered me a few free visits, which I declined as I don't live close to any of their locations. I'd say that solves the problem all good from my end. Thanks @SeanLMGfor helping with this!
  3. Thanks. I had not seen the Surface Laptop Studio, I am going to suggest that as she just graduated High school and has some graduation gift money to spend, so the price isn't too crazy for her.
  4. Hey all, I was hoping someone had some ideas here. Basically- her requirements are that when shes in the dorm, she can game on a monitor or two that stay in the dorm. Not super heavy gaming, but a discrete GPU for sure. She also wants to be able to take notes in class on a tablet, and use that tablet for sketches as well. My thought initially was a 2 in 1 with a docking station in the dormroom, but I am unaware of a 2 in 1 that has good enough discrete graphics. Another option is to get a desktop, but then she has to transport it back home across the country every summer, which isn't ideal as she is dead set on flying. Anyone have any suggestions for a 2 in 1 that's modern, has a decent amount of RAM (16gb+ for graphic design) and has a nice screen with a decent stylus sketching experience? Also would need TB port for the dock for the desk setup. TIA! -Alex
  5. Thank you Sean! I will update when I hear from them.
  6. I have a 12th gen intel XPS 15 in the mail on the way to me right now. Supposedly, 12th gen intel mobile is a pretty big game changer in terms of both performance and battery life. I spec'd my XPS 15 to 32GB DDR5 and 2TB NVME SSD.
  7. I saw an Instagram post on LTT for ZeroLatency VR. I thought it looked super cool, because I thought most of those companies died of covid. I was excited that there was a 20% off coupon from LTT, so I applied it online, and made my reservation! Things turned around when I went to check in. I arrived at the counter, they pulled up my reservation, and they told me the total would be $100. But... That's the full price! I had been quoted $80 online because of the 20% coupon. I asked them about it, and they said that even if the coupon was entered online and showed as working, they don't take coupons and the only way to get a discount is if you have a credit from a missed appointment. I showed them the LTT post where it says the coupon code could be used, and they didn't care. I ended up paying full price.
  8. 32gb is plenty for the next couple years, when I'll replace it anyway. And storage and battery are replacable on the Dell which are far more important to me.
  9. Neither of the Asus laptops have an option (at least that I see) to upgrade to 32gb ram, wgi h is important to me
  10. Everything I've read on eGPU.io says that 30x0 cards are only slowed down ~5% by using a TB3 eGPU? Where are you getting the information that a 3060 maxes out a thunderbolt connection? I don't want a laptop with dedicated graphics, as that will tank my battery life and as mentioned, I want to be able to travel with it. I also didn't mention that a big use case for me is trade shows, which will require off-wall use for an entire day (or as close as I can get)
  11. Given that it shows up in recordings, it is obviously either a software or a GPU issue. That rules out cables and monitor issues. I would try reinstalling your GPU drivers. You're right that card is slightly old, but it shouldn't have that kind of issue just for being old.
  12. Hello, I am planning on replacing my desktop setup (Ryzen 7 5800x, RTX 3060) with an XPS 13 Plus and putting my RTX 3060 into a Razer Core X Chroma. Some info on my use case: I would say that at this point, 75% of my workstation use is work. This includes 15+ Chrome tabs, large excel sheets, multiple conferencing platforms open at once (I am a software QA Tester/Designer for a small tech startup) I do some light-moderate gaming, but only at home (i.e. only while connected to the eGPU) I need a laptop as with COVID ending, I will be traveling for work a fair bit, and don't want to have to deal with having files on two machines (I do cloud backups, but much of my work is in IDEs and I tend to be... less than optimally organized with by backups) When connected to the eGPU, I plan on keeping my current monitor setup (1x Samsung Odyssey g9, 2x Dell 1080p 22'' monitors) For reference, the XPS 13 Plus specs I went with are below: 14 core i7-1280P Intel Iris Xe Graphics Don't really care about this, as mentioned I will only need GPU horsepower when connected to the eGPU at home anyway) 32GB LPDDR5, 5200MHz RAM 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen 4 SSD (Easily upgraded later, and I plan on it) 13.4 FHD+ (1920 x 1200) InfinityEdge Non-Touch Anti-Glare 500-Nit Display Based on recent LTT review, I don't want the 4k option, as the battery life was abysmal compared to the 1080p option As mentioned above, I am currently using 1080p on my desk anyway, so I won't miss the sharpness The non-touch option doesn't appear to be available on the website anymore, but I already ordered it and my order still states it will be non-touch (saves me $100 and I don't ever use touchscreens) Does anyone see any issues with this plan? I have looked into it pretty thoroughly, and I haven't found any red flags, but I wanted to get some more eyes on it. Before anyone says it, I won't be selling or discarding the Ryzen 7 5800x, I am buying a house very soon and when I do, I will be making a server closet and running Proxmox on it with a few VMs.
  13. #140 for the 3070 out of 8500. I doubt I'll get one at this point but still hopeful!
  14. I wonder if there is a drop off in this queue as people time out. Is there a time limit to buying once you are allowed to buy?
