  1. Hi All, Hoping you can help me out with this one. At my workplace we have 4 monitors, each of them displaying a a different instance of CCTV. We utilise 4 streams of a CCTV netwoek showing off different cameras in different states and branches. The intention of the screens is to show off different cameras, different brands and technologies (License plate recognition, tracking, Pan-tilt-zoom) and we even utilise different NVRs on each stream. It is a prety cool setup in my opinion, happy for some help however. I would love to demonstrate what the cameras look like and such however, I do not feel comfortable posting it here. Here is the issue, when I am closing the branch I shut the monitors off and when I come in the next day and turn them on I run into a few issues. When turning them back on each window will go to the main display (Display 1), and when I drag the window over and full-screen the stream it will suddenly jump to display 1. This may be unclear so I am going to try and describe it as best as I can. For example, I try and maximise a license plate recognition stream in the top right I have dragged the window so it is on the top right monitor and it will immediately go to full screen in the bottom right. Forcing myself to restart the computer every morning, dragging out the process of opening the shop. It never needed to be restarted last month as when you would fullscreen the windows it wouldnt make them go to another screen I understand this is a minor inconvenience but time is money blah blah blah. I will then have to open the 4 instances of the application again and select which cameras I want on each screen. If anyone can tell me the following it would be greatly appreciated! Is there anyway I can turn the monitors off at end of day, and not have to re-full screen everything and restart the pc so the windows do not shoot to another spot?
  2. Thank you everyone for your time I've pulled the trigger. SIde note a 360mm watercooler from ek (an all in one unit) for cooling so I think Im fine
  3. Hey Guys my mate has a 5800X and I have an 3800x he is upgradeing to the r7 7800x3d and will swap CPUS with me for $50. I have a 3080, is it worth my time? That is Australian Kangaroo dollars, also I play MW2 and Valhiem. Thanks in advance
  4. Hey guys I'm building a pc for a friend here are the specs: MSI b550 carbon wifi Ryzen 5 5600x (used component I took out of a other friends PC yesterday as he upgraded to an r7) GTX 770 (can't get any cards rn) Crucial 1tb m.2 4tb WD ADATA 32gb ddr4 Gigabyte GM 750 powder supply Wraith cooler off my r7 Okay so I originally planned to boot into windows of an old crucial Stata ssd which was getting slow a long time ago so I took that out put his m.2 on my PC and cloned my windows for him. Then once I put the m.2 in same issue bios is fine gets to windows logo then freezes. I swapped out his ram for my ram cause I know it works. Replugged cables then I reseated the CPU. Now I just swapped out his power supply for my auorus 850gm made sure I used all the corresponding cables and didn't swap them around now the PC clicks when I turn it on and no lights or fans spinning. Thank you for reading hope you can help
  5. Just bought a r7 5800x, was taking off corsair h100i and the single pin cable was disconnected. The bios still displays fans speeds and cpu temp I imagine through the other fan header. But not AIO pump speed, idk if it displayed it beforehand however. Does anyone know what the single pin that comes off from the pump is actually for? cpu is not overheating and fans are still ramping up under load

    Dead cpu

Because I thought a dead CPU meant like things were like properly broken but if everything is running then maybe it is a power supply issue.

    Dead cpu

Forgot to mention I tried running off the igpu before and it didn't work but I will do that. I have another power supply but it's out of old unit so I will just do my best with it. My power supply is 5 years old so maybe it is dead. Was planning to go fully modular soon so I'll try it tomorrow. Thank you for the idea man

    Dead cpu

Yeah it's seen a few overclocks mostly kept at 4.5ghz. my aio died so it did thermal throttle once or twice without me figuring out what was going on. Pump died Then was on stock cooler for a while

  13. So I have, well had the following system 4790k Hyper 212 MSI ski krait GTX 1070 32gb ram Months back the PC crashed and then would keep crashing so I replaced the SSD Then I couldn't write to hdd anymore so I replaced the hard drive The other day the PC crashed during Witcher 3 and then when I would turn it on it would go into os working for 10 secs then crash So I dismantled it tried every dimm slot and all that and to no avail I actually ended getting error 99 on boot. I completely dismantled the PC cleared cmos and then wouldn't even boot Now I have the PC on the table dismantled, using a ram stick from another PC have tried disconnecting everything and wouldn't even display anything except one time. So then I randomly decided to try a different CPU my old Pentium g3258 and the Pc is in os and has not crashed. Is there any hope of reviving the CPU: I've cleaned thermal compound multiple times I have reseated the CPU multiple times Tried different coolers Different os drives Different graphics card Cleared cmos Please help me if you can, I appreciate you reading this far I know it's a long post but I wanted to demonstrate have exhaustive I have tried to be with my trouble shooting. Thank you If it is dead it's okay I guess it has lasted me 5 years I bought it new. I'm gonna upgrade to Ryzen 4th gen, I hope it's worth the wait
