  1. So what 3D modeling software are you envisioning to use, 3Ds MAX, Rhino, Sketchup, Inventor, Architectural BIM software, Blender? As far as I can see with the future 1070 you'll be very well equipped, the only thing I see is RAM limitation on very complex 3D model scenes for normal work you'll be fine. Why investing in a 1050 btw?
  2. Hello to everyone on the forum, I've been following and researching the "new" gear/parts for quite a while now to the point where now AMD have a competitive chip on the market. Now I'm an Intel and ASUS fanboy, so please spare me for my choice of hardware. The idea behind my build is to have a PC tower at home that can be used for everyday stuff on a nice screen (IPS preferable) plus the occasional video editing photo editing, 3D rendering & modeling, gaming + streaming games to Nvidia Shield on a 4K TV. One more thing that I'm not very familiar with is playing media files on the PC and stream watching them on the TV, don't even know if this is an option and how it works, is there quality losses etc. I've listed my choice of hardware and I'm open to suggestions on what can be changed in order to have a better optimized PC for every task, but also to keep it realistically priced under $3500 USD (lower is better of course). Thanks in advance for the suggestions! Cheers! --- PC PARTS --- CPU: Intel - Core i7-7700K CPU Cooler: Corsair - H115i OR Noctua - NH-D15 Motherboard: Asus - MAXIMUS IX HERO ATX LGA1151 Z270 Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 (at this point 32GB doesn't make sense for my work. As far as RAM modules perhaps something more stylish will be better?) Storage: Samsung - 960 EVO 500GB M.2-2280 SSD Storage: Western Digital - BLACK SERIES 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Video Card: Asus - GeForce GTX 1070 OR 1080 (Not entirely sure about 1080 Ti) Case: Fractal Design - Define R5 w/Window (White) (I wan't to see the parts but keep it silent and clean from dust) Power Supply: Corsair - 750W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Operating System: Microsoft - Windows 10 Pro OEM 64-bit Monitor: Asus - MG279Q 27.0" 2560x1440 144Hz OR (a nice not very expensive IPS Ultra Wide @ 2650x1080 resolution) Keyboard: Corsair - STRAFE RGB Wired Gaming Keyboard (not sold on this one yet) Mouse: Razer - DeathAdder Chroma Wired Optical Mouse (I have this already)

  4. Hi Guys, We had some troubles picking the parts listed below for a good price to performance work PC for the office where we'll do 3D modeling, we'll be using several 3D printers (all with their individual software) so there is a posiblity of having to work with some complex models. Also the PC will be used for CAD, 3D rendering etc. So the main thing here is to keep it close to our small budget for a work PC. Please share any thought that could improve our pick before we head on to the shelves. Also we are looking for a good wokring monitor, if there are some models that will be great for a working environement, please share. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3bBbcf CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler Motherboard: Asus SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK 1 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard Memory: Corsair Vengeance LP 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Memory: Corsair Vengeance LP 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card Case: Fractal Design Define R4 (Arctic White) ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Corsair RM 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer
  5. Thank you, Xploda! So in my country I have access to three different Samsung SSDs listed below although the price for me is like the difference from the 1-st Samsung and the last one is $55 (not that they actually cost that much). Also I compared the two Intel SSDs and found this Intel SSD comparison: http://ark.intel.com/compare/66248,75611 Samsung SSDs: Samsung SSD 840 EVO Int. 2.5" 120GB MZ-7TE120BW Samsung SSD 840 EVO Int. 2.5" 120GB Desktop Kit Samsung SSD 840 EVO mSATA 120GB
  6. Hi again, So can some one explain the difference between 20nm and 25nm, or is there no difference other than launch date (for the Intel SSDs)?
  7. Hello Team, I'm going to buy my very first SSD and a new HDD this month and I really got confused after watching some reviews of the listed below SSDs. Please help me pick the best option for my needs. I'm using my OS drive (in the future the SSD) also for using my professional CAD software, 3DMAX, Cinema4D, Photoshop and others. I do 3D models rendering and other things like this but I'll be keeping my games on the new HDD. So here are the SSDs, please let me know which one to pick, I need the one that is most reliable and if possible that will last longer. ADATA SSD SP920 128GB Intel SSD 530 Series (120GB, 2.5in SATA 6Gb/s, 20nm, MLC). Intel SSD 520 Series (120GB, 2.5in SATA 6Gb/s, 25nm, MLC). 8. I just love the option to extend your memory and the faster battery charging. Currently I have a Desire S and this phone takes forever to charge. Good luck with unlocking the second phone!
