  1. I'm not too sure what you're asking. Everything should line right up inside the case without needing to bend anything. EDIT: ok NO! Nothing should need to be bent! Those are just there to help the board press up against the case!!!.
  2. How does this look? I went a bit over but it DOES have an SSD. If the price is too high, you can drop the AIO for an air cooler. It's pretty much unnecessary but it's pretty silent and looks cool ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 3 2200G 3.5 GHz Quad-Core Processor $79.89 @ OutletPC CPU Cooler Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L RGB 66.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $58.99 @ Newegg Motherboard Gigabyte B450 AORUS M Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard $84.89 @ OutletPC Memory Crucial Ballistix Sport AT 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory $64.99 @ Newegg Storage Kingston A400 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $29.99 @ Newegg Storage Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $44.12 @ OutletPC Video Card MSI GeForce GTX 1650 4 GB GAMING X Video Card $109.99 @ Newegg Case Cooler Master MB600L ODD ATX Mid Tower Case $40.98 @ Newegg Power Supply EVGA 500 W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply $44.89 @ OutletPC Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $623.73 Mail-in rebates -$65.00 Total $558.73 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-08-28 18:19 EDT-0400 I left out a Windows license because it doesn't necessarily *need* to be activated when you're building it
  3. Then it really is probably just Afterburner. Nothing to worry about.. https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/weird-gpu-spikes-on-msi-afterburner.1866895/
  4. That's just MSI Afterburner being MSI Afterburner. My laptop does a similar thing with my GPU Could you try posting a screenshot of average usage from something like Task Manager?
  5. So i've been cleaning up my setup a bit and decided to plug my Corsair Strafe RGB and M65 Pro into my monitor hub instead of straight to my pc so i can use a thinner, longer cable The hub is USB 2 and the monitor is at least 12 years old. Would doing this add any latency? I haven't noticed any so far and my mouse hasn't had an issue maintaining a 1000hz 1ms pulling rate.
  6. That is literally one of the best speced laptops on the market. it's more than capable as a secondary machine.
  7. JayzTwoCents recently made a video about the death of SLI and how few devs are actually implementing it now. Best bet is to go with a single card imo
  8. Didn't get the job anyway so it doesn't matter. currently eating an excessive amount of bean and cheese burritos and watching Helpful Fox Senko-san.
  9. How far is it booting? is it getting passed the BIOS or is it a Windows problem?
  10. Just found out Android doesn't support USB mics for calls. guess I'm banking on the one in my Senheiser HD4.40's. But that's for contributing!
  11. I've been fond of the M65 Pro for years now, reasonably priced, decently comfortable, adjustable weights, and glorious RGB https://amzn.to/2LFtGCR
  12. All asus mobo's come with them. best bet is to leave it be. you won't notice it once your cooler/card is installed.
  13. I know for a fact it sounds better than my S8, most people can't tell the difference between my CAD and a Blue Yeti. i'll be sure to run some tests. Thanks for the advice! Just sucks it's going to be butchered by T-mobile. but i don't think my (hopefully) future employer would be keen on an interview through Discord..
  14. You can pick up a used GTX 1070 8gb on Ebay for around that money RX580's for around $150 but i'd still recommend Nvidia.
  15. Hey all, I have a job interview in a couple of hours and I'm wondering if it's worth using a stand alone mic instead of my phone. I use a CAD U37 USB mic daily(pretty average) and I'm pretty sure i can use it with a Type C adapter. Is this worth it or am i way overthinking this and need to calm down? Job is at a phone repair shop but it's the first time anyone's responded to my application in months.
  16. Yes, IDE. sorry. I've tried a CD and no luck. and I've never used a floppy....... sorry for the super late reply
  17. The mobo refuses to acknowledge my flash drive as bootable media regardless of what i install. the most luck i got was with version i386 which just froze when i hit Install (i'm just downloading the latest iso and writing it to a flash drive with Etcher, really don't know how one goes wrong with that) I'm not sure, but i don't have another working machine that can interface with scuzzy. i'll try to get back to you on that. Looks like it, but might wanna take the board out to check. If you replace the board you probably want to stick with atom/avalon parts as if your running a high power xeon its gonna get hot I have an older pentium i'd try, hardest part now is finding an mitx board for LGA1155
  18. (Wayport was an old ISP that offered wifi hotspots, they were acquired by AT&T in 2010 or something) I recently picked up an old 1U Wayport server off Craigslist for dirt cheap($20), I already know the hardware itself is crap (Even for 2008 standards) but i'm having trouble finding information about it. Specs: -CPU: Via i686 -RAM: Kingston ValueSelect 256MB -HDD: some 20gb WD IDE drive -PSU: 180W something My questions: - When i boot it up into Debian (what it had preinstalled) it asks for a Wayport Login despite the seller claiming this is a fresh install. Is this a standard login or am i hecked - What version of Debian would i need to install to get this working? (if i reformat) - Is this case a standard MITX form factor that i can install a newer mobo into? - I keep getting a "USB over-volt error" on startup. Is that fine? (only has two USB ports) Don't really have a use for this machine, Maybe a PiHole DNS server would be cool
  19. I'm going to RMA it but i was just hoping for an alternative to being without my pc for probably over a week or so. Also Asus makes you pay for your own shipping label so that's neat. AM4 never came with a socket cover, did it? I don't remember ever taking one off...
  20. Damn..And now Aura is dead so i can't map a keyboard LED to add standard 4 pin connectors. Heck.
  21. What do you think would be better? Do all Corsair rgb controllers use proprietary connections?
  22. Just a quick question. Asus Aura died on my mobo and i can't be bothered to RMA the board. I already have corsair peripherals and Vengeance RGB Pro ram. Would the Node Pro be able to control the light strips as well as 4 standard 4 pin rgb fans? I'm really not looking to replace my fans. This is my reddit thread of you're curious how Aura just *dies* https://www.reddit.com/r/ASUS/comments/bweoja/asus_aura_just_died_on_b350f/
  23. I wouldn't doubt it, Apple isn't new to selling last gen hardware alongside current gen.
  24. Can't go wrong with white extensions, They'll reflect the rgb pretty well.
