Hello guys, I'm having a serious issue with my Logitech G430 gaming headset. A couple of days ago, my friends told me over skype that my mic was cutting out, and I was able to fix it by restarting my PC. Two days later, my microphone is so spotty that I had to switch it to an USB dongle, by plugging the jacks into the USB, and plugging it into my PC. It's a little bit better now, but I fear either something is wrong with my headset, or the microphone port on my motherboard. I'd be very grateful if you guys could offer some advice. I have an MSI Z170A GAMING M3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard. All help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I'd also try calling the manufacturer of the laptop.

What does "Main stream" mean?
Hydrogen1803 replied to Carlos1010's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I believe it means commonly used hardware, such as Intel Core processors or AMD processors. -
It is probably something wrong with either the display or graphics card. I'd say it is most likely the software. I'd update the drivers and try to update NVIDIA's programs.
-
This definitely could be.
-
This is a bit puzzling, I'd be sure to check the port to make sure it is not blocked by any dirt or anything of the like, and check the drivers and settings.
-
I agree with this.

It could be a bad battery, considering it stays on but does not charge up. Maybe even something with the drivers, so I'd check those as a precaution.
-
Lol my bad, it probably couldn't run it like that. I'd still check the connection and your resolution. Also make sure nothing is taxing the card in the background.

I'd check in the laptop internally, especially if the charging port had ever received stress such as a charging cable pulling on it for long periods of time. This happened on an old laptop of mine and something was wrong with the charging mechanism.
-
Do exactly this.
-
Make sure your card is registering with your system and hooked up correctly. Originally my card was not and I was actually using my cpu's integrated graphics.

It's older than a g4. Thank you for the help.

I'd only get the bigger option if you had the money and were sure you needed it. A mid tower can fit almost anything someone would put into it under normal circumstances.
-
This is true, an i3 or i5 would greatly help.
