Arthurvs got a reaction from Princess Luna in Floatplane club without needing a creditcard?
Hi Linus Tech Tips and Floatplane Club,
After seeing Wan show today I decided to subscribe to Floatplane club. But in checkout Paypal requires me to fill in a credit card.
This is because Floatplane club is an automatically renewing subscription. The point is that I am Europian and I do not have a credit card.
That's because we have other payment systems and to make a credit card for just this is not something I like to do. I am using Paypal hardly ones a month already.
Is it possible to create a yearly subscription to Floatplane Club that does not automatically renew, but sends an email two weeks before the term ends asking you to pay for a year again?
Usually, I adapt to foreign systems because that is how it works, but I do not feel like adding a third payment system just for this one subscription. That is because it complicates stuff.
I believe this makes the Floatplane Club more accessible and that is a good thing, right?
Edit: Fixed spelling/grammar error.

Drop the cooler. There isn't a reason to get an after-market cooler unless you are overclocking, which you can't do on that model. I'd also strongly recommend you switch to a Ryzen build. There is no reason to buy an i5 anymore, unless you have to have Thunderbolt for some reason.

For just 4€, go with the 620W. Your system will consume between 280-340W at full load, which is "about half" of the wattage of this PSU, making it nearer it's max efficiency compared to the 550W version. Also, since it supports <50% silent mode, it will remain silent more often if you aren't under full load.

The country I live in is The Netherlands. I am actually not aware of how many Europian countries use the "Ideal" system, but I know that the Europian web shops I use support it and even China's Aliexpress. Banks in the Netherlands must offer the Ideal system and may not charge for it.
For payments outside the EU, I use Paypal. Not a problem because Paypal actually supports transferring money with the Ideal system to your Paypal wallet.
The only reason I have a problem now is that Paypal requires a connection with your bank, credit card or debit card when you have an automatically renewing payment.
I do not want to connect my Paypal to my bank because of losing some rights that consumers have when money is stolen from their account.
I can't take a credit or debit card because this will make it harder to loan money for a house and that is just by the card.
Therefore I asked if they could make a nonrenewal year long subscription option. Because if I have to do it manually Paypal won't require a linked credit card, debit card or bank account.

Is he running overclocked?
Yes --> Turn off the overclock and test again.
Are the temps normal?
No --> check if the loop is functioning properly.
(Are all fans running)
A simple way to check if the pump is running --> if the water block is hot but the pipes and radiator stay cool, the water is not flowing properly and the pump could be the problem.
