  1. About a month ago I started having issues with my graphics card, I was getting Multi-colored lines across my screen and games were crashing. I changed out my graphics card with a known good one and those issues were fixed, but now I am having issues with the PC randomly freezing and requiring a restart. It freezes quite irregularly, when I'm surfing the web or watching youtube it would happen but at different times and sometimes hours into my session. Over the past couple weeks I have logged many hours into games before the freezing would occur, however the past couple days I haven't been able to get 5 minutes into a game before the system freezes, sometimes not even past the main menu. I haven't had any BSODs, just everything randomly stops. So Far: Updated all drivers Replaced the original graphics card Ran Windows memory test, no errors. Taken out 24GBs of ram and now running 8GB Ran check disk on both SSD and storage HDD, no errors Ran Avast multiple times with no issues Checked temps of CPU and GPU at idle and during games. CPU idles at 38C and 60C under load, GPU idles at 40C and 71C under load. PC Specs: Mobo: ASUS Rampage IV Extreme CPU: Intel I7 3930K (no overclocking except for Intel turbo to 3.7Ghz) Heatsink: Corsair H100 Ram: 32GB Geil EVO II GPU: MSI GTX 680 Lightning Edition (Later replaced by ASUS DCII GTX 570 due to having GPU Issues) PSU: Corsair HX750 750W Case: Cooler Master Cosmos II Programs open on startup: Steam Avast Logitech Gaming Gobbler Programs Open during freezes: Firefox Games (CSGO, Oblivion, PUBG, Civ 5, Insurgency) Pro Tools Microsoft Office Dropbox I will continue to try to diagnose the problem in the meantime, but all responses are welcomed and appreciated.
  2. The first mineral oil pc I ever saw was actually a Puget Systems build that they did at PAX Prime a couple of months ago. It is pretty needless to say that I had a reaction of "WTF. Give. Now." Ignoring Luke's wise words, I really want to build a mineral oil pc, without paying an "ass load" on just the case. Copyright strike again! Hang in there Puget, and continue to be innovative and create your pc art!
  3. 1. The Ducky Shine series is available with Cherry MX Blues and white backlighting, they do not make keyboards with Clear switches. 2. I don't have any experience with CODE keyboards, but Ducky's build quality is superb. 3. Since I do not have any experience with CODE i am obviously going to have to go with Ducky. I've looked at CODE and from the looks of it, it will be about the same as A Ducky Shine, but Ducky will undoubtably give you a satisfactory experience.
  4. Cant wait to see you guys at the meet up. Slick sits on the row behind me in the BYOC room! I shall continue to stare from a distance.
  5. Thanks for the suggestions, but I already have a pair of Sennheiser HD25-1 II headphones. Im looking for decent quality earbuds that dont have crazy hyped low end around 50hz, and still have a decent high end that doesnt dip down around 16khz. Earbuds are just a little bit easier to walk around an airport with, and still be able to comunicate with people (I normally only keep 1 earbud in while im walking around in public.) You can see my posts above to know what my belief is with EQ.
  6. Lol, yeah. But I hate using eq because you can make your earbuds sound flat to your ears, but the sound may not be truly flat. I like to keep two pairs of earbuds. A nice pair for monitoring or for flights, and then a cheap pair of skullcandy titans for carrying in my pocket when im just walking around.
  7. What I mean when I say "ive trained my ears to hear flat" is that I have trained my ears to hear flat from those speakers. I understand no speaker is perfectly flat, I just meant I wanted something that has close to equal response in all frequencies. Also If you raise the db of a certain frequency when your trying to make it sound flat, your causing negative effects on the sound by adding things that arent originally there. Thanks for the Link
  8. Im a a music producer/mix engineer and im looking for some sugestions on a new pair of earbuds. Being a mix engineer has made me train my ears to have somewhat of a flat response to sound. In the studio I monitor through Genelec 1032 A's, which have a very flat response. I am looking for earbuds that have the flattest sound possible, to travel with. I find that if I listen to colored signal for too long my ears adjust to that sound, so i have to retrain my ears to hear flat again. I would really like to avoid having to do this. Try to keep the sugestions under $150 USD, $200 max. And please no Dr. Dre Beats jokes. lol Thanks

  11. I agree with some of the people here that this thread is completely biased. The thing is audio is something that is mainly opinion, everyone likes their audio differently. I think that instead of posting brands to stay away from or brands that are good post something like "I would recommend these" and "I enjoy this product". Everyone is not going to agree on the same thing especially in a subject that is based so heavily on opinion. For instance I like my Kirk rokkit 8's and my Tascam us-1641, but that doesn't mean that it is the best and you should only buy from those brands. Please keep in mind that this is my opinion on this topic.
  12. Apparently I'm not the only one who uses their iPhone as a monitor.
  13. I would have almost exactly the same build as my current rig intel i7 3970x corsair 900d 2x AX1200i 2x Mars III 2x neutron GTX 480G in raid 0 4x neutron GTX 480G in raid 5 Rampage IV extreme and of course a custom Waterloop
  14. Im only 14 so I drive a 2010 Honda Elite scooter.
