  1. Multiple devices with wikipedia torrent loaded on them, offline games, usb, books (ALL THE FICTION/NON-FICTION BOOKS). First couple years learn and play with my tech, get familiar with people. Figure out organizations and important people. Anything that you can learn in first two years as university student is probably something that is advanced until the 80s. You have plenty of time to learn electrical engineering and chemistry to become rich. Make sure to destroy the devices or hide them well (hence the couple of years to learn your surroundings) so others don't get access to it. edit: Meet all the legendary people of their time. Help them finish their work quicker and help to hint at other ideas to get there faster. Sad that it will be 7 years after tesla dies.
  2. simple simulation site for various systems http://chasms.com/
  3. HDMI on laptops are set to output, you will need to do some sketchy stuff to connect laptop screen to desktop. Or take apart laptop and use the screen alone.
  4. OpenHardwareMonitor (for ongoing program) or HWMonitor (for detailed analysis)
  5. Do you want a war? Because this is how you get a war! You need to specify: your purpose, price, other computer parts.
  6. The reason he hasn't is because it's old and it's the same as the previous one but improved specs. he did a 2 min review in wan show
  7. Yep: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/11946-explain-your-username/?p=5014734 I thought I would start off with a joke. I'm not a crazy car guy more tech than anything but I enjoy the silliness of the show and whatever I can learn from it.
  8. Why do you not want to help? It's like an ego boost and you can force your parents to use your way/program so there aren't any issues there. You should give them a proper way to get help if you are busy but it's your parents man. If they aren't beating your ass then help them out, they provide everything else: food, electricity. Also look at it from their POV. They are old, tried of trying new things. They have things the way they like it and want things to work properly. I know some very technical relatives that were playing around with tech/programming for a long time but recently they just gave up troubleshooting and want their entertainment to work properly.
  9. If it has been stable and suddenly there is an error then I cannot emphasize benchmarks enough. When you do re-install do you manually install the same thing everytime? Just get the audio, internet and graphics working at first then add on stuff if you actually need it. Installing same things all at once, you won't find the issue.
  10. Hi my name is DaiGurenMK42. I am new here and do not understand much. Please take care of me.
  11. What made you think I didn't like the show. It's a common joke in the show to call clarkson a monkey.
  12. They still play them. Pretty sure it's still getting renewed.
  13. No matter what it is you have to practice it. I like to take a day and write useful notes to look back to. Then spend everymoment on praticing problems and understanding how each step works. Programming, math, engineering, physics, chemistry, presentations etc work. Otherwise for stuff like biology it's all memory so cards with definitions and examples were handy. Read, re-read, and UNDERSTAND! I remember using AT-AT from star wars to recall AT-GC for DNA base pairs. Try to minimize and relate if possible. Like for the DNA pair if I knew one pair I would know the other one immidiately.
  14. FTFY: Now with 20% more polygons Now with 20% more hair Now with 20% more game works
  15. The best darn screen protector around .... and kingston ... ssd or something
  16. Make sure your torrents have a high seed to low peer ratio. If it is older than a couple years there is a chance not many people are seeding so it won't be quick or download at all. More seeds than peer. If it's new like a day old there will be more peer than seeds but the seeders should be fast so it won't be too bad, just not optimal. Peer: other people d/l, Seeds: other people up/l.
  17. Dual-Boot. It may seem confusing at first but it has become really simple recently. Use Linux Mint or Ubuntu Gnome version. I prefer Mint because it is simpler to understand and use while still having almost all of the Ubuntu repositories. Dual-boot will use all of the computer, virtualmachine will lag if you do not have a powerful system and enough RAM.
  18. The the fans of the monkeys found each other.
  19. mine is probably 80-200gb depending on the computer. i use it to store a bunch of stuff
  20. Does it say disk being used? Cause it stops downloading onto external drives when that hdd is being used for something else. More info would help like your ISP speed, HDD space, what kinds of games. Are you playing a game while it's loading? (you might want to check the setting in steam that says "download while playing game")
  21. To diagnose the problem you will need at least a day of time. Get on a laptop/phone and do something else while waiting. Memtestx86 will be your first, most likely it is the RAM that is causing issues. Then once that passes after 8+hrs furmark for 4+hrs. My desktop had bluescreen issues and a clean windows 8.1 (I had 7 before and 8 installed so many drivers by default, it was nice) reinstall fixed everything and made everything better. I believe I had installed a driver I shouldn't have and that caused interference with something else when loading certain games. After the clean install I had installed the audio, graphics driver just because I only use it for gaming and installed nothing extra that I didn't need. Ran the tests with hwmonitor for the night. Next day I started installing games all of them ran well. But you may have a faulty product, so tests are there for a reason.
  22. Check BIOS make sure UMA isn't selected as display/graphics
