Real talk time
I’m going to be real honest here. Had Epic’s Store got a much smoother start with feature parity to Steam alongside areas where it one-ups Valve, I really do feel that if they would still do exclusivity, we likely wouldn’t have had seen as big of an uproar as what we have now.
As it stands, a lot of people have doubts over parts of the Epic Store. Had many of them been addressed and missing features added or tweaked, I actually do feel that people would be a little more willing to try.
A lower cut is definitely appealing to the other side, but it also needs consumers to actually give it a proper shot.

I wouldn't have problems with stores if they didn't mean another program on my PC. If I could just go to a website and download a game then run it without a launcher, I honestly wouldn't care what store it came from.
Also, how are they doing on returns? I like Steam's return policy.

Used to be not great. Apparently, they updated it to be on parity with Steam.
Doesn’t hold a candle to GoG though

Haven't used GoG before but, their return policy seems great and according to their website, their launcher is optional so, they sound really appealing.

Preach!
That's 6 games store applications, and they don't even account for all of my games!
