    Budget (including currency): 2TB SSD maximum. Country: Norway Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Playstation 5. Mainly I wanna buy a 1TB or 2TB Gen 4 NVME SSD for the PS5, preferably something top quality. Did look up Crucial but they only have Gen 3 and no heatsink! So wait for Crucial to make one or should I maybe buy another brand? Considering the latest umm scandal Linus and group exposed it's probably best to about the usual players like ADATA, Patriot, HyperX and others who do not manufacture DRAM?

    If this uses standard parts it will probably be ok for a starter PC and upgrade it sometime in the future...

    But there is also the fact zen4 is gonna be on 5nm which makes me feel like AMD may actually release a budget option for AM4 at the same time or just before the launch of AM5 and Zen4, AMD is painfully aware 5nm is probably more limited than 7nm so still pushing some 7nm might be wise. I would also be amazed if they make made Zen3D for AM5 as a "cheaper option" when it's made for DDR4 not DDR5 unless they changed it?

    Well rumors has it DDR5 will be super costly this time around, if that is true AMD should release Zen 3D as a "cheaper" upgrade option than a new system with DDR5. I bet the 3D stacked CPU will cost more than its worth but it is probably maybe the more sane option if rumors around DDR5 is true?

    True but they are gonna make all the next gen stuff DDR5 right? I mean if they do that then it will cost much more and Intel normally do boards that support both or a generation of chips that support both. AMD also has done boards that supports both before also so since this gen is a crossover ne then maybe Zen 3D will be the budget option?

    Normally yes but the prototype they showed us was a regular Zen3 with upgrade so?

    Since its a Zen3 chip with just more cache should it not work with AM4?

    Why does it not support anything older? AFAIK the 900 series and 10-series is technically same except shrunken node so why would it not work with a GTX 970?

    Okay when we look at the spec sheet for Xbox Series X and Playstation 5 we see something interesting. The series X has 10GB for VRAM arunning at 560GB/s ok impressive then we look at the other 6GB which are at 336GB/s well that is not terrible so the Series X have 6GB of RAM? Let's now look at the Playstation 5 and ok 16GB + 512MB the 512mb is DDR4 rest is GDDR6 like the series X but it only goes to 448 GB/s in that case does that mean it uses only 8GB for VRAM and has 8,5GB for system RAM?

    1. Find a GPU mining farm. 2. Break in and entering. 3. Profit. 4. Sell the rest to Linus at MSRP so he can do another verified gamer program.

    No that was legit, the Chinese are hoarding Playstation 5s now... Well that would be true if they released a PS5 exclusive game I wanted, oh wait there aint any games since devs doesnt wanna release games for PS5 over 4 since there is no reason to when no one can buy the game... Others do it fast, not sure what thie excuses are...

    Disable AA unless it gives more FPS since it only makes stuff blurry, its easier to pixel snipe if the pixels are visible.

    Tell that to Microsoft and their series S Re-write the game is better than no games, currently the amount of devs making PS5 games is very slow due to the lack of PS5s on the market... Well if the PS5 doesnt get out in proper numbers yet the PS5 will probably be the last console generation, as is now the PS4 out sells it why the hell would game developers even bother with PS5 when majority only have PS4? Its better than no PS5s on the market as it is now the game developers have barely any reason to make their games for PS5 over the PS4...

    Well here is the deal, going with Intel CPU then its still running same x64 architecture so I doubt that would be a issue, the Nvidia ARM chips maybe requeres a emulation layer or hardware converter like Apple did with M1. Then again we also has the GPU would only need another driver wouldnt it? The Xbox is kinda like a PC aleready so it shouldnt be to much of a issue there but Playstation is using afork of FREEBSD so it should be possible. Yet yes I agree optimization may not be the same tough they could market it as a PS5 Lite or so? Lower res to compensate for lack of optimization?
