  1. he does a have video with over 5 million views. he seems to have a few one hti wonders that probably stopped the subscribers from watching the rest as they weren't interested. This channel isnt a long term one and dies out.
  2. I think it was more of a This guy came specifically to a NCIX acution for a Youtubers Play button that you would only really know if you knew of the channel. and Linus at points built and was on the channel for a long time. Would be weird if he didnt know who linus was with the Context. Though granted he was a youtuber aswell that just wanted a play button that also more so relates him into the same world as linus and How many people only know of NCIX but not LTT. Theres a chance he was also just full of it. i dont think it came off in a way you can really tell for sure which it was.
  3. + 1 reccomendation for Ryzen 1200 a Decent quad core for a budget build. Id take it over the G4560 for a budget gaming build. and the ability to upgrade i dont consider a big reason to buy it but a nice benefit on top if you were to go that route.
  4. You do realize Neweggs plan in 2015 was not to in 3.5 years to just hand this info over to CT. they cant tell the Future when CT would Ask them for this info. BUT Going foward it should be listed on there site like some of the other states that they send info. They cant predict the future. They also should of sent an email out to everyone explaining that sales info was sent to CT as its the right thing to do. They knew they wouldnt win the sales tax argument so they handed it over. it was happening anyway. Im sure they passed this notice to a Lawyer who gets paid a large sum of money from them to give advice who also understands the law 1000% better then anyone on here. Thats what most companies do even smaller ones.
  5. yeah 28k in hard drives and price still Isnt near 100k is my point.
  6. Dont think you could buy a pratical System for 100k lol. 2 Titan Vs if it was geard towards gaming and the best Intel high Core count CPU that doesnt completely lower the Clock speed a lot Dumb Expensive case watercooling Motherboard Huge SSD and such wont really hit 20-30k Workstation probably wont go Past 50k That is if were talking any sort of practicality.
  7. Thats how the Tax Laws Work. newegg has no business buildings in CT and many other states so They do not have to charge you sales tax and pay the state for this reason. They by choice could set up charging sales tax in CT but most online retailers Do not. do this IT is your responsibility to File your taxes at the end of the year and pay taxes on product you bought without tax on them which is obvious newegg doesnt charge tax when checking out. this includeds online sales. Anyone claiming oh no i didint know either shouldn't be Doing there own taxes or they should be paying a better tax Consultant. (Turbo tax asks like 3 times if you have any use tax to claim and explains what exactly it is..... The exact law varies state by state you should know your own but thats an example of how it mainly works. Many people have been ordering off sites like newegg and many many others for the purpose of saving taxes its tax evasion ( not a very serious one) Newegg should of sent a email out to customers letting them know that all purchase history was sent to CT Though. and been more on top of the PR on this.
  8. seems like it wouldnt be for anyone with just 1 computer Though. its Cool not much better then a decent spreadsheet Saved on a company server. But at that price per month and slightly better then that option it could make a lot of sense to streamline it a bit.
  9. 4k 120hz VA or IPS at $5-600 GPU to drive many games at that pace for $700 obviously cheaper the better but Realistically im talking something in the next few years. 4k60hz VA and IPS panels are in the $4-600 28-32" range which is nice to see. Or even how some 4k 60hz tvs can do 1080p 120hz ( Very few do this but it exists) Wish my 4k 60hz was able to for some games.
  10. I Mean It isnt paying for its self in a year its 60k and cant even put cheese on it. so youll need a person there still to do that and many other tasks. It currently will only up production for currently employees They defiantly wont be able to just replace someone. and most fast food employees work less then 40 hours a week 30 hours x 15 an hour is $23.4k a year. if the $7.25 you quoted it would need to take Many jobs to pay for it self in one year. One day a machine like this will directly take jobs but This is not it yet. $15 an hour isnt whats making this happen ( it might arguably bring it 1 or 2 years sooner but maybe not also.) . Its the advancement of Technology. If they were getting paid $10 12 or 15 it will happen. The tech will get Much better and cheaper. and it is much more reliable its not calling in sick from work. It doesnt take vacation days no breaks no downtime no overtime. To simpler things like not having to Create W2s checking working papers payrolls each week manage workers, Hire and fire people. less theft managers would have less work could probably pay them less and so on.
  11. But people are willfully evading taxes in this way. Your required by Law to claim the purchase of goods you didnt pay taxes on at the end of the year. Newegg doesnt need a disclaimer its not them with this rule your state requires you to pay taxes. Newegg was clear they dont charge tax. If your product was $20 and the checkout was $20 with 0 tax you know you didnt pay tax i believe it even shows no tax as a line item. Many people over online internet ordering have been using online shopping to avoid paying tax on purpose and then not claiming it because they dont think the goverment will find out. If Newegg doesnt have a operating buisness in your state they dont have to charge sales tax and its up to you to claim all untaxed purchases. No other state has done this yet but just because you or anyone else havent gotten caught doesnt make it right. I do however think the interest and or penalties should be minimal as it is the first state to actively do this and the first year to give some the benefit of the doubt.
  12. in the US the tax is not in the product price. if they are selling something for $10.00 its 10.00 + tax so at checkout it will go to whatever the tax rate in your state is. for a total of Example $10.86 at the tax rate of 8.625%
  13. Beilieve i was the one who also mentioned that specfic problem isnt really the phones fault haha. But ive also had a S4 Note 4 S5 S6 S7Edge still in use now and they have all never suffered from burn in thats noticble when using your phone. But the Static Notification bar up top can been seen if i Pull up a Fully White screen or Grey and crank the brightness and stare for it. The only time its ever present during regular use is when your doing something that minimizes the Notification bar like when Viewing pictures and the image is light in color or watching a video and same thing with the image being very light in color. Though all the phones ive mentioned dont have any on screen keys so this might increase the likiely hood of burn in and be more noticble as there bigger then the notification bar. Overall its something that is Not noticible to most people on a day to day basis even as someone who knows its there i almost never see it.
  14. I wouldnt think 40 seperate pcs would be easier but more like 10ish have to have a CPU with enough cores to dedicate 2 to 4 cores to each system and a GPU per so a 12 or higher core count for 3 GPUS or more depending on the power you want. Power supply will need to power 4 GPUS and Motherboard will need to support it also. if you were doing 2 cores 4 threads youd be able to get away with less then 10 PCs pretty easily with a 12 core Intel and 6 GPUs. it all depends Youll be checking compaitiblity and Pricing and performance to see whats best. Ryzen 8 core pcs might be a good cheap Build for this but a few extra Pcs or threadripper might actually be perfect for this due to the 16 cores 32 threads. Lots to think about but when you decied itll be just build this over and over a few times and done. gotta set power goals first then try to find the right components
  15. pretty much yes, you will struggle to get 1 GPU to run 2 or 3 games at once it will bring up a whole lot of issues. its not like a hard drive you cant split 1 GPU up to 3 Different Virtual machines so then Controller input what program is up prioirty wise ect on top of probably bad performance running 3 games on 1 GPU at the same time. also Price wise Tesla GPU wouldnt make sense for this. you could buy 40 GPUS that would get you a easier setup easier to manage and Cheaper all while gaming better overall with a seperate GPU and dedicating X amount of CPU Cores to each VM. Running 40 Virtual gaming machines is a pretty major project mutiple CPUs ect.
  16. i would think you would do something very similar to 8 Gamers 1 CPU type rig. Run all GPUs on different Virtual machines. Theres a few programs that allow you to stream your PC game like geforce now Moonlight is one of them id do some research of what ones best but try that one to test out your theroy. And thats about it very simple Also if you were doing it locally nvidia and steam have some options for you most remote clients lag too much so a game centric client would be better Tesla cards wouldnt benefit for your goal, Pick the card you want each gamer to have perf Wise could even scale some with 1060 and some with 1080TIs dont have to be identical just meeting your goals
  17. also the difference in loading my facebook or webpage from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds doesnt matter but extra 30 mins of battery does. phones now days are so fast making them faster doesnt benefit 99% of the users anymore. Being a tech webisite most on here are that 1% that would or like the improvement in speed though.
  18. i do use it a WAY above average person does but yeah if your using it with a static imagine 6 hours every day maybe not. i wouldnt blame the phone or screen though at that point its a phone for regular standard use not business equipment. an lcd would deff benefit you more.
  19. my s7edge after almost 2 years now has no noticble burn in unless full brightness on a white screen and even then you got to stare at it, ive seen pixel 2s look worse though after 2 months. samsung seems to be the absolute best at oled tech. id imagine iphone x doesnt have any either.
  20. only benefit and reason for a manuf is wireless charging and apprently in the fight of specs they all decided this is a box they must check to stay equal to each other. I Personally like metal much more.
  21. i mean Its a boring upgrade but your a bit Over dramatic. Camera Physically changing the Lens not some software BS is cool only phone to do this so far. have to wait to see how it helps in the real world. though. they had 1 year the finger print was terrible S8 & S8+ s7 and s6 both had great finger prints in good spots. a Snapdragon 845 Being literally the only phone with this right now puts it at the top of the best ( temporarily) 4gb on the 8 is them being stingy but regardless its still going to be a top of the line phone and the 6gb version will be more then enough for todays phones. Its just your regular upgrade exactly matching all leaks and what anyone should come to expect from any manuf smartphone upgrade now days so i dont get how its underwhelming.
  22. how much is the partial refund are you at least getting more $ then the price difference in compensation ? i wouldnt do that for an equal trade like if 1070 was $450 and 1060 is $250 id want more comp then the $200
  23. He did videos at his house for his personal PC might help also . Why not just place the desktop in the other room and Run a Display port/ HDMI a USB Hub and 3.5mm Jacks?
  24. theyll call it whatever they feel like everyones just guessing what they think it will be called. Could be GTX anything or not even include GTX
