  1. Hi there! I currently work for an unnamed company with nerds that specialize in computer support and we use a lot of mobile, flash drive driven diagnostic software. For personal endeavors, I’d like to purchase (hopefully not subscribe) some good diagnostic suite or tool that can be installed to a flash drive and used on multiple computers, likely Windows based. So - for anyone that uses diagnostic tools like such, which is your favorite and why? I currently have Aida64 as a stress test but would that be the same as a good diagnostic test? Thank you! - Ethan
  2. Okay, so the Gtx 1070/1070ti sounds like the best choice, but what about my monitor? I run 144hz at 1080 and it has a FreeSync capability, does that by itself make AMD the better choice or does team green still have the lead?
  3. Tell me about it, I had it the day it came out and already have a ticket submitted with Bethesda because it never lets me log in to the darn thing! I had such high hopes ;'(
  4. Thanks for clicking in, I needed a title to grab you guys! Currently have an R9 270 relic, willing to spend up to 400$, going red or green, I want a substancial increase, like a gtx 1070 or rx 590 What card should I upgrade to? Almost got a 1070 but noticed 590 has similar FPS and cheaper. Also have a monitor with FreeSync not being used currently Just have to run Fallout 76 (Max settings), PUBG (max), games like those Thank you for your input! Happy Holidays Everyone! - E
  5. I'm at the ends of my whits and I hope someone out there can help me! Just recently, I have started to get major rubberbanding in my online games (TF2 & PUBG). When I run an online test my numbers come back normal, 225 down 20 up. Whenever I get into the game I still jump around, I've even reinstalled my network drivers and turned off stream control (MSI Killer Network Manager) Does anyone know what to do? Thanks in advance! - E
  6. I know I'm noobish for asking, but wouldn't that remove all my photos and music from it?
  7. Hey LTT forum people, I know the title sounds odd but I have a secondary drive in my computer that I originally used and I now use an SSD for all Windows Files. Is there any way I can remove just the Windows files from the old drive? I would love to free up space and I will never boot from it again... Thanks in advance! - E
  8. Recently, we upgraded our wifi to a 200 mb download speed. Everyone in the house is able to reach those speeds, except my iPhone 6. My speeds on my phone are restricted to 40mb, nothing more and always less. I've swapped to the non-5G network and same exact speed! I've reset my phone, reset all network settings, tried a manual DNS setting. I have no idea what to try next! It sucks that other Iphone 6's, an Iphone 6 plus, and computers are all getting 190+ mb and I barely reach 40, anyone know a solution? Thank you in advance! - E
  9. I'm not a mineral oil expert, but not having a radiator to cool the oil, it would be like putting a heater in a room with all the doors and windows closed, it would eventually heat up. Now it's possible that there is enough oil that it would stay cool, but I'm not sure. Best of luck! - Ethan
  10. As a first step, have you tried updating the device software?
  11. So when it asks where to install, send that to the old drive and keep a shortcut on the new drive?
  12. So in lamens terms: - Write down all downloaded programs - Move keep files (pics, songs, etc.) for safety - Wipe disk - Partition entire disk - Move back and reinstall from the list? What do you mean by configuration files?
  13. Recently I purchased an SSD and threw windows 10 onto it. Everything works fine, I routed all my music, videos, etc. to the old drive and it’s lightning fast! Not everything is so nice though... For one, it won’t let me run programs off the other drive, so would I have to reinstall them, while having the shortcut on the new drive with its files on the old one? Also, is there any way to remove the windows operating files from the old drive, I don’t really need them and they just take up space... Thanks in advance! - E
  14. I would check that things like SSD's, Ram sticks, motherboard connections are all tight. After that, we can diagnose things. If you want a memory tester, just download Memtest86 to an extra USB and boot from that, that will tell you if it's a RAM issue. There are many SSD checking softwares out there, I don't think you'd have a problem with that. If none of those show any signs, then things may be a bit deeper. The things left are the CPU, Mobo, and PSU. Each of these are hard to test and require replacements to pop in and check for stability. Memtest86: https://www.memtest86.com/ This sounds like a tough problem so I wish you the best of luck - Ethan
