  1. at 4k sure, i'd agree. 100Hz @ 4k would be unrealistic. From a productivity response @30Hz would probably be attainable....but as a 100Hz 1080p panel though..... Would it not be interesting? Iunno, discussion is good right?
  2. So i discovered this last weekend with the missus......, and although i am already aware of the whole 'TV's have latency' issues.... Something tells me LG has something coming: https://www.noelleeming.co.nz/shop/home-entertainment/televisions/uhd-televisions/lg-42ub820t-42-ultra-high-definition-smart-led/prod134758.html Panasonic had something similar a few years back that was boss, but my spidey senses are tingling... Thoughts LTT?
  3. I just finished it maybe 10 minutes ago.....it wasn't very good. Brace yourself for unclear story telling and gaps in time moving forward unexplained. It just wasn't really that good. Had lots of potential....just wasted alot of it.
  4. I think no one should be STATING 60FPS in any sort of Gaming Adverts if they cannot sustain that level of performance above the listed recommended specfications. Yes i mean including PhysX, Yeah i include Ultra settings etc etc. If it can't be done, DON'T ADVERTISE it as a glorious thing. Sick of it. 30FPS locked if it works, 60FPS locked/sustained if it works. Wolfenstein got it right.

    60hz VS 120HZ

120Hz from IPS i think is worth if you play FPS. AOC G2460
  6. My first GF was exactly like this. If you spend heaps of time with her already then simply ask "Then what would you suggest happens?, I would like to spend more time with you of course" If she is nitpicking at you to devote all your hours to her like a deity, like my current GF has no problem with. (She wants to build a PC to impress me ) Then i would suggest asking what she wants from you in actuality. ONLY ASK THE SECOND THING, if your situation is the latter.
  7. Simply check two things: 1.) Check the refresh rate of your screen and make sure it's selected to the correct one. (This can be found by right clicking on your desktop/ Screen properties/ Advanced/ Monitor/ refresh rate.) Or else 2.) Uninstall, then reinstall your NV drivers. Could be causing some issues. If nothing changes after that then check flash player drivers or hardware readouts for any chance of high temps causing throttling. Hope that helps.
  8. But is there anything stopping them from doing so? (realistically)
  9. So recently we have seen many Chip manufacturers try different ways to develop and push chips onto the market. E.g. Titan Z being rather large, 295x2 being Watercoolered and 290s being long as all hell. More recently (And AMD themselves) have introduced watercooling bracket setups to cool their cards. The question i have been pondering is that recently i bought a Tri-X 290 and it is long as all hell, right now i am trying/ waiting for build something really powerful inside the smallest footprint of space possible (Pushing the limits so to speak). Since GPu brackets are slowly coming into existence, my question is this: Will it be possible in the next year or so to see ITX-built GPus being made by the likes of MSi/ASUS (Direct CU mini, i am referring to) with the option to slap a watercooling bracket on it and have some really high performance cards in SFF PC's? (Elite 110 kind of ITX) And the second question is: Will we see the likes of a R9 290 fit into this segment (Watercooled of course), and if not...what is holding us back currently? Hope this fuels some inner thoughts. #ITXJunkie, #Itneedstobesmaller
  10. AOC G2460. Have a look at them, Got mine for $350NZD....might be cheap round your parts. 120Hz monitors for cheap are out there people, just gotta do your research and not keep staring at ASUS and BenQ all the time.
  11. I'll throw in here, cause why not
  12. So i'm planning on doing another Build (Prolly my 3rd this year so far, experimenting-wise). And it recently stumbled across Corsair's new HG10 after looking at the G10 Kraken from NZXT to cool my Reference R9 290, i picked it up for hella cheap so i am not complaining. However, my allurement to ITX builds is second to none....and it drives me wild when i see powerhouses working in small places. What i want to sorta do is have a case setup along the lines of an Elite 130/ Corsair 250D (The corsair is a little bigger though...), where i have a LP CPu cooler (Which i have) inside a small case cooling a 4770 (Currently) but WC the 290 on a HG10 by mounting the Rad on the front intake and maybe having the Rad have an exhaust...or just have the usual mount. The problem though is either i think the initial idea might not work as the Rad fan will be drawing air inside the case from nothing....but if i swap it around i might be blowing death air toward my i7. So my question goes out to all those on the forum that might know a work around......In the case of the corsair case i might be able to dodge the problem...but in wanting to keep something small, yet powerful.... ...How can i beat the rules of physics? (Adequately). Cheers to all who engage
  13. Faa. Go educate yourself. A Fanboy is almost another word for a religious Zealot who believes in the statistics of something being said or shown over actually acted and experienced. I don't care nor want to bother fighting you because i know from experience that post was utter bullshit. I'd gladly take the mantle of 'AMD Fanboy' over taking a single piece of your advice on here at any point in the history of existence. Have a wonderful day.
  14. I enjoyed reading this, from something rather simple and easy to explain really did quickly devolve into fanboyism on extreme levels. Faa, seriously....i look at your posts and laugh. For all your points made, every single source you listed i have read/re-read and read conclusively and actively encourage my friends to read before they make any decision about parts in their rig. Your fault when making alot of your statements on the forums is assuming everyone here can afford in some cases a $500 CPu (Here in NZ i am not even kidding about the price for Intel to AMD). All i saw in one of your posts specifically were STRONGLY, biased statistics done by Ian Cutress on comparable CPus at 1080p on various games and of them you cherry picked every single Single-threaded favored game and slapped together reasoning as to why the 4770(k) is the superior chip. If you actually understood the reasoning/ purpose and literal point of that Anandtech article i am POSITIVE Ian Cutress himself would shame you in person for making the comments you quite often make here. It's BS on this forum that i see too often when comparing literal Epeen on benchies most gamers would never notice. nor care about in NORMAL and NOT SYNTHETICALLY generated instances of gameplay. In short. Save money and gain threads= AMD 8320 or 8350 and get a better GPu for the upcoming proof of GPu handled rendering in coming years OR Spend probably more money= Intel 4670/K or 4770(k) and get best all round performance and save up more for GPu if you can handle it and see the value stretch for along time. Also having seen WatchDogs CPu allocations....Ubisoft is ATROCIOUS at coding games effectively, with CPu core load from Core 0 to 6 at 89% load on a R9 270X on High. And practically unplayable on AC IV: BF....What needs to happen is Ubi to get a kick up the backside and make games that play according to the audience they are marketing it at and not cripple the enthusiasts that play too. End rant.
