Or better yet, avoid waiting for the boot kit (or hoping for updated BIOS) by using Q-Flash which allows you to update the BIOS without a compatible CPU or even RAM, you just load the bios files on a flash drive according to instructions and hit a button on the board, and it'll update itself (although I'm not sure how many of those MSI & Asus boards are mATX or ITX but a few might be):

edit:  But once the bios is updated with q-flash you can just drop your R5 3600 right in and start using it (seems odd that Asrock and Gigabyte don't do more to offer that feature, it's going to help MSI sell a lot of B450/X470 boards to savvy Ryzen 3000 buyers I reckon).

I'm going to push back on this a little: Nvidia is doing something called "Super" but the specific details of that are just rumors, and the pricing on those rumored products is also a rumor. We will know what Nvidia is doing soon enough, since AMD's E3 presentation is in two days and Nvidia will likely make their move between then and Navi's launch sometime in July.

Probably the Ryzen 7 3700X or 3800X coming next month, but if you need it now then the i7 8700K or i7 9700K

Also it's either the 1080 Ti or a Radeon 7 or the 2080... since the RTX 2070 is garbage value for money, it's at best 10% ahead the 2060 (even if oc both) and still costs so much more.

i dont think it would, i would totally reccomend Vega 64 but not above it so like 1080/2060 range (depends on games).

Nice old CPU, DDR3 ram and old haswell mobo isnt that pricy anyway.

That all depends on what drops in a few weeks from AMD. As of now B85 and H87 boards are priced alright, and DDR3 is also cheap, but maybe the 3000 series will be super affordable.

Overall, I think a used motherboard from eBay is not a bad move, but I also recommend waiting for new graphics cards from AMD as well.
