  1. Rest of the build is pretty basic. Asus Z690 TUF Board 32GB DDR4 1TB 980 PRO SSD
  2. Budget (including currency): EUR 4000 Country: Belgium Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming Other details 3440x1440@144hz Hi, I've just put together a config for a buddy and they did not agree with my setup. I went for a i7-12700K and a RTX 3080 Strix. However he did not agree and wanted to go for the i5-12600K along with an RTX 3090. Pricing: i7-12700K: €499 RTX 3080 Strix: €949 i5-12600K: €349 RTX 3090 ~€1500 I feel like my config with the i7 and the 3080 is way more balanced then their config with an i5. It seems way of to me to put an i5 in a PC with an RTX 3090. However the system will basically 90% be used for gaming. Do y'all have any tips / suggestions? 3. Call me a fanboy but I still have more trust in my Intel chip then I could ever have with current gen Ryzen. It's probably false but the "safe" feeling is worth it for me
  4. In terms of performance, probaby. But for my personal rig I opted for an AIO because it just looks WAY better
  5. I still prefer Intel over AMD in 2021
  6. A 5800x/5900x are more expensive here € (500/650) (idk why) and they seem to be very comparable performance wise. The ram costs the same as the 'slower' variant. It should still work right? just at slower speed.
  7. Budget (including currency): € 1000 - € 2000 (VAT / BTW incl.) Country: BE (Items must be bought at alternate.be) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Sysadmin PC (Vm's, containers, programming etc...) Also light gaming (Gamestream to Shield Pro) Any feedback on this setup? I'm keeping my STRIX 1060 6GB for the moment since I cannot get my hands on any nvidia gpu. (I need gamestream). I will be swapping that out with a RTX 3060Ti or 3070 when prices come down and they are restocked.
  8. works like a charm on my internet in BE - EU
  9. Normally every airline has a policy regarding "special cargo" mostly used for skies and other sports equipement. You can always ask though
  10. I don't own any of these, but I have more trust in google in terms of reliability and adding features
  11. Step 1) Fix that GPU sag Step 2) Install windows Step 3) I personally do not overclock a PC when it's brand new. Just get set up with the software you use and feel free to install games. Overlclocking is mostly done to get some extra performance out of old hardware
  12. My asus STRIX 1060 only starts spinning the fans at 55 C. And since it has a beefy heatsink I can play a lot of games without enabling the fans. Try playing for a little while keeping an eye on the card temp. It should not exceed 60 C without fans.
  13. Can you restart your PC and look at the fan at the same time. Normally every card SHOULD spin it's fan for at least 2-3 seconds on boot. What card do you have? Check that please
  14. Something like this would work, if you're willing to pay the premium for such an old board https://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Media-Series-Desktop-Board-MicroATX-LGA-1155-Socket-H2-DDR3-HDMI-DH67GD/331536724999?epid=127396757&hash=item4d3120f407:g:liUAAOSwrklVOEMN:rk:8:pf:0
