  1. Bit of a design flaw! Awesome build logs, first Haswell builds I've seen. Looking good!
  2. This build is defying all conventions. I love it! Well done! Also, that sleeving for the SATA power looks glorious. Are you going to sleeve the SATA date cables?
  3. Oh they'll be fantastic, they're Noctua ;D Computer Lounge are pretty decent, they got my order to me in about 3 days, however PC Force are the best retailer in NZ. Haven't bought anything from Tech World yet. Oh btw, Computer Lounge sell nearly every single GPU's waterblock and backplate.
  4. Yeah totally agree, have to go with TechWorld or Computer lounge, and they'll be $50 each! The stock fans aren't quiet enough for me, they are pretty quiet at 7v. I'm going to be ordering the Noctua NH-U12s which is an awesome price for the quality of the product. Trying to find a decent, cheap 140mm fan.
  5. Wow. Nice! Love how your customising your KB!
  6. I've seen this question a lot, I'm currently in the process of revamping my current R4 with its stock fans. Do not get the Corsair SP or AF series fans, they do not have good static-pressure for the restricted air intake of the front panel. The best of the best are the Noctua NF-A14's. Make sure you get the ones with 140mm mounting holes, not the ones with 120mm mounting holes but with a 140mm frame. There are issues with the frame fitting etc. The other best fans are along the lines of: Cougar Vortex Gelid Wings Gelid Silent Thermalright TY-147 (However these won't fit in the front without significant modding) Don't skimp and get another Fractal R2 140mm fan, they're quite terrible.
  7. Wow, good idea changing the fan to a Noctua. Only thing I'd be a little concerned with is the capacitors in the PSU still holding a charge which can be quite bad if you touch them! Otherwise, nice build! I love Prodigy builds to bits.
  8. Wow, that looks a lot better! Nice job. First build I've seen in an Antec Lanboy. Nice job! However I'm not a big fan of the H100i being mounted on the exterior. Just my opinion.
  9. Less of the rambling at a camera, it was more boring than the 'off-the-cuff' Linus that we've all fallen in love with. The macro footage is incredible because it allows us to see what you're talking about, without the main camera having to change position and fumble around trying to show it. Thumbnails are better! Maybe do something like what NewEgg TV have? Like this:
  10. Hey a fellow Kiwi builder! Very nice :) I've also got an R4. What part of NZ are you from?
  11. Oh wow. That first one is fantastic!
  12. UPDATE I've RMA'd my Corsair H100i, and am using the stock cooler for now. I think I'll be getting the ThermalRight True Spirit 140 for my CPU cooler. Then it'll be time to upgrade case fans to the Noctua 140mm's and I should be nearly done.
  13. Ahhh cool! I'm not too sure, I've got a 3rd gen IvyBridge i5. Yeah fair enough! I've actually been thinking of getting the ThermalRight True Spirit 140, and then just getting Noctua case fans and control them with the R4's inbuilt fan speed controller.
  14. Agreed, plus the blue LP Corsair would look better on my board. Now I'm in a predicament, For the price of the NH-D14 I could get an XSPC W/c cooling kit http://www.computerlounge.co.nz/components/componentview.asp?partid=17081 Anyone have any experience with this?
  15. With your lighting, why not get an NZXT HUE? Means you can control almost every aspect of it.
  16. I'll need to get LP Ram if I go for a Noctua NH-D14. I've got two options, Mushkin Blackline Frost or Corsair Vengance LP Ram. http://www.computerlounge.co.nz/components/componentview.asp?partid=18346 or http://www.computerlounge.co.nz/components/componentview.asp?partid=15720 Any thoughts or opinions?
  17. Awesome! Thanks :) Didn't know there was a 92mm version. I'm in a toss-up between this and the Noctua NH-D14. I feel like the D14 would be be the better alternative, because of the larger heatsink and 120mm fans w/ anti-vibration mounts.
