  1. Need an upgrade on my PC for dank memes <3
  2. Think about it, games and memes and Linus videos at 100" on the wall (can't do 200", sadly no room) Plz Linus, I used your build guides to help me building my PC last year and have been subscribed for well over a year and a half, I love you guys <3
  3. Thank you very much, that crosses razer off the list, too much poor build quality mentions
  4. I have looked at it, but I can't find anywhere in Australia that sells it, so it's heaps expensive, and just too far out of my range
  5. I didn't consider a Sabre, but for a while I was fixed on the M65, but I just feel it's not right for me, but thanks for the suggestion
  6. Hi all, So I bought my first gaming PC back in about February and I got the Coolermaster Devastator Bundle with it. I do enjoy the mouse but it isn't the most comfortable nor the most accurate mouse. I play a bit, not heaps, but a bit of cs:go and I want a great experience for it. I've been looking at multiple different mice, and I've narrowed it down to my favorites which are: Coolermaster Mizer Razer Deathadder Chroma Asus ROG Gladius Cougar 700m Zowie EC2 Evo Steelseries Rival Steelseries Sensei RAW (rubber) Steelseries Sensei Pro Steelseries Kana V2 Logitech G502 Proteus Core So I like all of these, I've tried the cougar before and love it, but the other mice have either great reviews or just catch my eye and interest. When I look everywhere it's constantly, "go with a steelseries rival or a deathadder" but of course there is just so many other options. I'm not picky on colours and high DPI, but I like an ergonomic style, even though the Cougar is a lot different, it's easily customized to my needs. So what should I definitely NOT get from these, and any suggestions from experiences on which are great? Thanks heaps
  7. In Aus the budget increases by heaps with an Intel, they're way overpriced here
  8. Thanks for the advice, I was just going for performance for price for now since I'll upgrade in the next year or so anyways and the guy at the tech store said it's fine for now and and FX-8350 was an extra $130 to the budget and the i5 was even more I just blame Australia and Abbott. And I only got one stick for now so I can add another one later when I upgrade. Thanks for the advice
  9. Yeah originally I was looking at $700 but then I got more money and yeah the build got much better your build is still better than console so who cares haha
  10. Thanks, I got it to the 4.2 and thought it was fine because it's still a 20% increase so yeah
  11. Hey everyone on Linus (the god's) Tech Tips. I just built my first ever PC since I'm 15. And for me it's a huge achievement after going through serious depression and nearly killing myself to being in recovery and building my first PC and getting a job doing something I love so yeah (I built it for gaming with a budget of $1810 by the way) Specs: AMD FX 6300 at small overclock of 4.2Ghz Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO AsRock 990FX Fatal1ty Killer AM3+ Motherboard 1 x 8gb of Kingston Fury Red RAM Kingston SSD 120Gb Toshiba 1Tb hard drive Galax GTX 970 OC Black Edition (haven't oced yet) NZXT S340 Case TP-Link Wireless-N PCI-Express TL WN881ND Cooler Master G700 Non-Modular Power Supply ASUS VE247H Monitor Cooler Master Devastator Bundle and Elite Dangerous because it's fab all for $1807 in AUD Far Cry 3 runs at everything maxed out at 80 fps average at 1080p Bioshock at the 60 fps cap without dropping everything maxed. Haven't tried Elite Dangerous yet sadly, but I'll update when I do! Furmark score at 1080p preset: 4054 68 fps average Thanks for reading, Jordi Oh and add me on steam or something I don't know: jordi_bear333
  12. Thanks Thanks, I'm glad I've got the list eight and I've posted the topic right I won't get a second 980 now but in the future I will, maybe a few months after I put my PC together And I only think I'd need the OS and maybe like games I play all the time on the SSD otherwise I'm fine putting them on the HDD but thanks anyways for the suggestion
  13. Hey everyone I'm building my first gaming pc and i have a pretty good budget (sadly it's in Australian though so everything is overpriced...) I've been getting advice from the forums on pcpartpicker and after a while I've come up with this. I have a 980 and I'll add a second on later. I only have one stick of 8gb memory since that is OKAY at the moment and I will add another one in the near future. I went with the 4690k so i can overclock a tiny bit and learn from it. Also i got the membrane keyboard with the cheap bundle since I'm fine with that. I love the S340 case with a red and black theme and I like the look and quality of MSi stuff so I went with that. Any thoughts on how to improve the build to the most out of this budget? http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/KYcQgs
