  1. Not gonna pretend I haven't ghetto heated my room before. Long nights of gaming with the heat off in the winter with only my GPU to keep me warm.

for a short while i lived in a trailer, which had no heating whatso ever. i dreaded going to sleep because i meant i have to leave my warm 75F computer room to go to my 28F bedroom.

being broke as hell sucked, but it having a good computer helped a bit.

  2. So....

Your just complaining unreasonably because you'll sleep in a cold room?

You'll be missing all your rigs,

So it's not because you can't afford electricity?

i could just turn the heat up at my dads, but my computer and i are kind of USB'd, ugh.... i mean attached to each other.

just complaining because i'll miss my battlestation.

  3. Holy -snip-

    past.

well, i honestly didn't feel like dumping WU because i'm pretty lazy.

and if this seems like fun or a cool thing to do i'll probably keep doing it.

my step-sister is working on some bio degree right now and wants to cure cancer eventually, so i might let her appreciate what i'm doing.

  4. so, normally i sleep in my apartment that is very much like a dorm room. my PC is right by my bed.

however, tonight and for the next week i'll be staying at my dads. this means no nice fx-9590 room heating for a week.

my laptop will be my only heat source. i guess i better keep it close.

i'll leave Atmosk (my desktop) folding the whole week while i'm gone. so i know it will generate even more heat, which makes me even more jelly.

anyway. ITT we talk about leaving our computers and we miss them because humanity has developed a symbiotic companion for itself

also, we now treat computers like they are a fire, providing us warmth and light each night. (as well as food if you order pizza online)

TL:DR? WTF have we become humanity?

  5. I find the whole coin mining business baffling and real shady.

You can sell the virtual currency for real money, but were does the money ultimately come from? Is there a real service performed or usable product made in the process?

people accept bitcoin for payment of products and services now.

  6. nice i seen that, about ziftr coin can you just stop mining that block and come on 3 days later and finish off that block?

I don't think you can do that with any coin. i was under the impression that whoever crafted the latest block the most got the coin for that block. or something of that nature.

all the blocks in the chain have to be up to date, i don't think you can go back and finish. it's basically a race.
