  1. The fact that it is able to project a big screen from such a short distance is just amazing!
  2. That Keyboard looks nice and clean. Would enjoy it!

  4. Does anyone even checks their sources at The Verge?? They even linked to the Reuters article. Unless they have their own contacts with Microsoft, I'm not buying it. (not intended). I think they are only talking about China, although I do hope I'm wrong. Can anyone find an article/statement with what the Microsoft dude literally said?
  5. My Tri-X 290 runs @ 71-72C with 40% fan speed (about 1850-1900 rpm) while playing bf4 for more than an hour or so. I wouldn't call it silent, but it isn't loud either. Ok, i'll admit it's not a windforce 670 or so (In a good ventilated case (200mm fan blowing at gpu, some cooler master case I think) that thing is freaking silent). I have seen 780's and 780ti's with aftermarket coolers do the same temps as my 290, or even worse. People that compare the power consumption (not tdp!) of a 290 vs a 970 are just comparing incorrectly (in my opinion). The 290 is a generation older, just keep that in mind. Ok, at the moment AMD isn't offering anything else so it's the only comparison we can make at the moment, but still... Do you want me to compare a gtx 480 with a 6970? I don't think so. (Launch dates (+-): 5970 @ November 2009; 480 @ March 2010; 580@ November 2010: 6970 @ December 2010; please correct me if incorrect) The stock cooler of a gtx480 also ran at 94C according to an anandtech benchmark, what did the 290(x) run at again? Yes indeed, although we are a few years later, so AMD didn't learn from their competitors mistake, which is kinda stupid. But again, don't wanna fanboy for either of them, at the moment Nvidia is doing better regarding performance/watts, but that is not that important to me. I don't game for many hours a day. If I gamed for more than 10 hours the past month it's much, just don't have the time anymore Anyway, people should just stop with screaming that 290(x)'s are terribly hot, if you want high-end stuff (from AMD or Nvidia) you will pay the price of more power consumption and worse temperatures (and more $$$ too).
  6. This might be a little handy thing! And as always, thanks for the giveaway!!
  7. Mmmm, could be better but should certainly be enough.
  8. Should not be running that hot, certainly on stock clocks. I had a fx8350 on that same motherboard for some time with a similar air cooler, never ran hotter as 60c on socket. Room temperature was 28c at that moment (summer). As said above, try re-applying the thermal paste, might fix a lot. Or at least is one of the possible solutions. But be careful, those sockets are freaking sensitive. @op: What case are you using? Good airflow? Enough fans (in-out) ? I do not remember it (usb) ever going over 40c to be honest, in the same software.
  9. Yeeey, another great giveaway! I would build a x99 pc instead of a z97 one which I plan to make soon!
  10. Yeey, awesome giveaway again from LTT! If I win this I will have to buy me a G-sync monitor for sure!
  11. FRONT facing speakers! The dbrand skins look cool, might order one for my Nexus.
  12. Don't want do get something started, but for G-Sync you need a 650Ti Boost or above... Anyone with something like a 580... nope And a 580 is still decent in my opinion. But I must admit that 600 series was launched way earlier than any of the GCN 1.1 cards so the backwards compatibility is bigger. I don't see why they can't support the 1.0 cards fully, the 1.1 update is not that big (lower power consumption, Trueaudio, Crossfire XDMA thingy, more HSA stuff,...). Anandtech has a good article about the changes in 1.1 I do understand what you want to say with the R-series and so on though, making it more complicated than it should be. But is AMD ready to launch "Free-Sync" right now? Don't think so. (And I mean now, today, this moment) I'm afraid we still have to wait till Q1 2015 at least to see enough monitors with it. (Is there actually a release date of a monitor?) So... Has any good reviewer tested a Free-Sync monitor? No. (and no, not the thing AMD showed at Computex, which is promising though) Has any good reviewer tested a G-Sync monitor? Yes, almost every good reviewer has tested it. Is it good? Yes. (Never used it myself so don't judge me on that one) Will Free-sync be "the same" as G-sync? I do think so, but nobody has tested it yet. Will it cost more than a "basic" monitor? G-sync does. Don't know about Free-sync but expect some price-increase. Conclusion: JUST FREAKING WAIT TILL THE THING IS LAUNCHED!
  13. What is not to like about this phone? The screen is certainly awesome but what I like (and think is special) is the bottom button possibilities you showed in your review, good thinking LG
  14. I own a Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 and I am really happy with it. I also agree with airdeano that the 450D is not really an Obsidian class case. The Fractal has better clearance for large air coolers (18cm vs 16.5cm for the 450D if I'm correct) and in that class the extra 1.5cm is really useful. The build quality is good for the price. You have filtered intakes (front and bottom) and the top is also filtered. The filters are also better in the Fractal than in the Corsair (only watched vids of it though). Cable management is good but that is the same for the 450D I think. Replaced the 3 stock Fractal fans with 6 Be quiet silent wings 2 and the thing is really quiet. Overall a solid case. I think the new Phanteks case is also a possibility, might want to take a look at that one. If I would be in the market for a new case I would choose that one. Although it is slightly more watercooling focused but at the same price as the other two. So.....watch a couple of reviews and buy what you like, can't go wrong with both of them.
  15. Hi, I think of buying a second hand Asus Sabertooth P67 (not the rev 3.0) with a 2600k for a nice price. This means that the mobo does still have the "bad" chipset with the Cougar Point Sata bug if I'm not mistaken. I searched on google but still wanted to hear the opinion of the community here. (Great forum!) Is it possible that I could have problems later on with the sata ports (the 3gb/s ones)? Did anyone of you experience problems with those non revised mobo's?
  16. Is it a Asus r7 260x oc? Friend of mine had a problem with one, had to RMA it. Seller tested the card and saw that the card was defect. Pc booted fine but crashed after 5-10 minutes, black screen or just freeze.
  17. Retweeted: https://twitter.com/Meuleman_Jeroen Nice giveaway, good luck to everyone!
