  1. I would upgrade the GPU and PSU. Maybe go to something like the Nvidia GTX 770, and I would also suggest getting an ssd.
  2. Yeah, me neither. I used to have a few old extension cords with those plugs, and I never really liked using them.
  3. It's the standard, and any new plugs will have it. The old version has just the two vertical pins, but that was a while ago.
  4. Probably a Nissan GT-R. It has amazing performance, and looks really cool.
  5. Have you looked at Gigabytes offerings? They showed off their new windforce cooler at Computex for the 780 and Titan.
  6. You could get Corsair SP 120 quiet editions and put on the red color ring.
  7. The GTX 770 or AMD 7970 would be great choices.
  8. Last time, it said that Slick didnt realize that they can't link to sites other than Linus Tech Tips: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/28219-slicks-annotations-for-the-blackberry-switched-part-3/
  9. Yeah, why have the annotations not worked in the videos? I remember someone saying that you can't link to an external site via annotations, so is that why?
  10. Yeah, I enjoy them as well. The good thing is that they have been doing more recently, and are soon going to be doing more with their headquarters. I would definitely love for them to continue doing them!
  11. Get an i5 4670k, choose a motherboard you want, get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, GTX 760, Seasonic G series 550w PSU, and choose your case.
  12. You can get close to a silent system. Putting an MCP-655 pump on a PWM control, and using lots of fans at low voltages to get rid of fan noise are both good ideas. Yes, usually a watercooling loop can cool more than an AIO, because of the larger area of the rads, and better components.
  13. Yes, you are correct. Also, usually cloning software does not have an incremental backup, but for your needs I would suggest cloning. Then, you will have a bootable drive that you can clone back once your laptop comes back from repair.
  14. Why? The Macbook Air is actually a great choice, and is better than many ultrabooks at the same price point. It has amazing battery life, looks great, and has a new PCI-e ssd, so you get insanely fast read speeds. If she needs windows, you can always use something like Parallels or Boot Camp, but still get all the benefits of having a Macbook Air.
  15. Yeah, you might as well unplug them to see which one it is. Also, you could open up your case, and feel which one is vibrating a lot, and that is most likely the one that is clicking.
  16. No, it isn't too hot. When it is on full load, you can get up to 80 degrees or more, and it is still just fine.
  17. Get a Corsair AX 760i. It will go well with your color scheme, and it is a great power supply.
  18. What's your budget? In general, the GTX 770 or 780 are both great choices.
  19. Do you already have the PSU? The wattage should be just fine, as Linus used a 550w PSU in his build guide with a 4770k and a GTX 780.
  20. I'd go for the Intel and Nvidia setup, but it is definitely overkill for purely gaming. You will just end up spending more money and won't get much extra performance out of it. I would suggest following this guide:
  21. Yes, they are. For clarification, go on tonymacx86's site, and look at the build guide. He now includes the new GPUs, such as the Titan, 780, and 770 as suggested graphics cards.
  22. The Fractal Design Define r4 is a great choice, but if you think the 650d is small, you will think the r4 is small too. Maybe a Corsair 600t?
  23. The Fractal Design r4 is a great choice. A Corsair c70 would also be a good choice.
  24. I would also suggest the Hyper 212, and I would also say save some money and go for 1600MHz RAM. The extra speed does not have a massive performance increase unless you're running an APU, and usually the extra cost outweighs the performance gain.
  25. Looks pretty good. However, for purely gaming, the x79 platform is not the right one for you. Also, I might suggest going for a higher quality power supply, something like the Corsair AX 760.
