Went to my grandpa's today. He didn't recognize any of us at fist, but after talking to him for a bit he remembered. He's very frail now and is under hospice care. It's really disheartening to see.

There was a ceremony by two people from the hospice care center thanking him for his military service in WWII. It was... pretty bittersweet, to say the least.

Anyway things are winding down for the night and I see lightning off in the distance so it's prolly time to head back to the hotel. Hopefully I get there before Vinny does cursed edutainment games for Vinesauce Is HOPE.

Sucks that life is like that. I hope he does better and that we start treating our veterans with the honor they deserve.

The shitty thing is that if you serve any war after the Korean War the state forgets about you as soon as you come homme.

Which is why we shouldn’t be sending soldiers anywhere. Let’s teach our soldiers diplomacy and compassion instead of killing and dying.

Among the poppies we cry for each one

But too few will make it all the way home

Just to be forgotten, forever gone

Except to each of their own

It really sucks what you're going through, there's not much I can do to help, but if you ever need to talk, you know where to find me
