  1. I have a Plex / NAS that I am upgrading. Currently I am using Windows 10 RAID 0 with 6 - 6TB HDD. Yes I have my data backed up on a cloud service and remote location since it does contain work data. The problem is Windows RAID isnt actually getting the performance of all 6 drives in RAID 0 but its just presenting the drives as such and stripping the data. I am looking for a RAID card that can support at last 6 drives preferably 8 but either will work. Doesn't need a super fast RAID controller since they are just HDD. I have looked around but all I see is cards from LSI or G10 which are all a 150$+. I looked in to the cards with a ASMedia ASM1062R but from what I can tell that RAID controller will only support 2 drives and there is nothing out there that can provide it with 3 drives per lane to enable operation with 6 drives. Right now I am thinking of getting a LSI 9211-8i from EBay. Saw some old posts on the web about its decent performance. Wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this matter. If anyone knows of any RAID software that can get more performance then Windows built in RAID please do let me know! Thank you for any suggestions!
  2. Contact Corsair Support and ask for a hard firmware reset. If that doesn't work try asking for an RMA. Sometimes they will let you RMA it even if your a little out.
  3. You should be able to tilt it down and slip it off. You might need to use a tad bit of force.
  4. The Lighting Node Pro should work with all of their SP and HD LED fans.
  5. The old K70, the new K70, or the K70 RGB? If its the old K70 non rgb i wouldn't get it refurbished. Their known for being prone to LED failures and you have a much shorter warranty with a refurbished board.
  6. I've had one for 2 weeks now and to be honest the led strip in the back isn't as bright as one might expect. And you can always turn it off lol. And as for the grey keycaps, the scroll wheel is gray too lol. Guessing they were trying to match the gunmetal version more then the black one.
  7. Right so everyone that buys this keyboard is settling... Have you considered some people just like the keyboard... No of course not you're just spewing shit to spew shit..
  8. -Makes master key- -looses master key- -cries- Welcome to backdoors 2017! How may we leak your shit?
  9. i know lol. Its butter smooth now. the wheel and the rolling.
  10. Well... That's not a fair... The K95 Platinum has hardware playback and a USB pass through. This not only means a more efficient LED controller, but another chip to run the hardware playback.
  11. Its smoother. The texture isn't as pronounced and it has more resistance but it feels a lot smoother. It give you more control but the volume doesn't jump up and down that quickly.
  12. Careful its a MSI Seahawk so included in the brick might be another brick attached by wires.
  13. If AMD's top of the line GPU beats my 1070 im going to throw a brick at someone. And by brick I mean my 1070 brick.
  14. Eh, you have 3 profiles with 6 G-Keys, all you need to do is find 4 keys you don't want to use and rebind them. Im sure you can dig up more then 4 useless keys on a full length keyboard. It's not too bad if you set it to white and leave it.
  15. lol so im guessing your not a fan of the led strip at the top.
  16. you assign macros to the keyboard and it saves it in memory so it can be executed on other devices.
  17. lol, yea its going to be a love or hate thing. They got a lot of feedback that 18 macros was well 18 to many when you didn't have hardware playback. And i'm guessing they limited it to 6 because of the hardware playback.
  18. Corsair just announced 2 new products! The K95 Platinum and the Scimitar Pro. The two new devices both have hardware playback for the first time! The hardware playback is limited in certain ways. Not all of the actions and lighting effects supported by CUE 2 will be able to run off of hardware playback. The scimitar got a DPI boost, to 16K, with a new tunable sensor. So that's good news if you liked tuning your mice. Before the Scimitar Pro this feature was only available in the M65 Pro. Oh and it does come in black this time right off the bat. Thank god for black! One small gripe they got rid of one of the DPI switches and rebound it to switch profiles... Not the best idea, flipping through 4 DPI settings just to lower your DPI by one level is frankly a tad annoying. The scimitar doesn't look any different from the non pro version, but damn the K95 platinum has has a partial make over and it's looking sexy. The K95 Platinum will come in the black finish shown here or gun metal gray. And starts at 200 USD with your choice of browns or speeds. Sadly there are no reds... boooooo. One more thing to note. The media keys, and 3 keys at the top left are not as bright as the rest of the keyboard. This is based off my observation of a sample that was given to me by Corsair. So hopefully this is fixed in the final release. I've used both devices for a week now and while I didn't find a use for the hardware playback on the mouse, I did enjoy having my macros on my K95 as I moved from place to place. It could use more macro options like all of the ones CUE provides on a software level but this is a good start considering no one else is doing anything like this. Here's a video of my K95 Platinum in action. https://www.techpowerup.com/229315/corsair-reveals-k95-rgb-platinum-keyboard http://www.corsair.com/en/landing/k95rgbplatinum
  19. if you need a strafe wrist wrest you can contact Corsair Support and they might be able to send you one
  20. No it will not, the Strafe and K series keyboards have slightly different clip designs.
  21. Only static lighting can be saved to the device. This is the profile the keyboard will default to when CUE is not running. And i would check out this manual if you are confused.
  22. As long as you didnt damage it with any liquids or open it up you can always RMA it. You will have to pay for shipping to them tho, unless you can get someone high up to waive it for you. (highly unlikely)
  23. Contact Corsair Support and ask for a hard firmware reset. The power outage might of corrupted the firmware.
