So it turns out that I didn't realize that SAS connectors will fit in either way, but only work a certain way. I put the H200 back in it, and 3 out of 5 drives are being detected by Unraid. I'm gonna figure out how to get the last 2, but it seems to work now.

I have done this already. Megarec wouldn't work at all on the server so I was forced to do this on my main desktop.

I tried each stick on its own. The computer wouldn't post with one stick, but it did with the other. So, one of them is dead.

I have a Late 2011 Macbook Pro with a i5 and 4GB and its running 10.11.4 El Capitan. When i unplug it from the Magsafe charger it gets really laggy and slow. I have tried to look up guides on how to fix it, but they dont work in El Capitan.

The server I'm getting is not high end and it looks like I would use Amahi. I check there website and Vitalius is right, there recommend specs are lower than FreeNAS and it's pretty close to what I'm getting for my server.

I'm using a laptop for FreeNAS right now and I'm gonna buy a actual server.
