Apple Juice reacted to LinusTech in Adata XPG V2 Where to Buy
WHERE TO BUY XPG V2 MEMORY: http://bit.ly/1aBHr9O

The new XPG V2 series are designed for 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors and the Z87 platform, and feature colorful and visually striking heat spreaders.
Top of the Line Performance DDR3 speeds up to 2800 MHz, with timings of CL 12-14-14-36 at 1.65V (XMP Profile 1), provide the muscle needed to run the most demanding games and software. The ADATA XPG V2 Series is comprised of an extruded heat sink with increased surface area, providing superior thermo-conductivity, efficiently reducing power consumption and greatly elevating signal completion. An industry-leading 2oz double-copper PCB increases module stability.
    Eye-Catching Components
The sharp design of XPG V2 brings out the best of your rig's appearance, without sacrificing the speed you demand. Designed with a futuristic form that will appeal to those who take pride in both the performance and the visual outlook of their high-end systems, this DRAM brings the best of both worlds to high-end gaming systems.

The Highest Standard for Stability and Efficiency
ADATA XPG V2 memory products are made in conformation with JEDEC regulations and DDR3-1333 standards at CL value of 9-9-9-24 . Each XPG V2 memory chip is selected through a strict filtering process, complete with high-quality PCBs (Printed Circuit Board) and an aluminum heat sink that effectively lowers module temperature, proven to reach a maximum speed of 2800MHz at CL value 12-14-14-36 to make complete use of the computer’s power.

Advanced Heatsink Design for Better Cooling Efficiency
Using Thermal Conductive Technology (TCT) and 2oz Copper 8-layer PCB, the specialized heat sink ensures outstanding stability even when systems are pushed to the limit.
    What is DDR3?
DDR3 SDRAM stands for Double Data Rate Three Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory. Compared to DDR2 SDRAM, DDR3 SDRAM delivers higher performance, maintaining lower voltage levels and greatly improving data transfer rates.

ADATA XPG V2 Desktop Memory uses 240-pin standard design. Operating at 2800MHz and 1.5~1.65 volts, its transfer bandwidth can reach 22,400 MB/s (PC3-22400), blazing speed you won’t find elsewhere.

    Lifetime Warranty, Quality Guaranteed
In addition to ADATA’s rigorous manufacturing process, we ensure the quality of each memory module. All ADATA memory modules come with a lifetime limited warranty.

*All ADATA memory chips are stringently tested. However, actual performance may vary due to a computer’s motherboard, BIOS version, system configurations, operating system, system components, and other factors. Overclocking or changing the system clock may cause malfunction in some computer system components, and can even invalidate the computer’s warranty. Please read the computer user guide carefully or consult the manufacturer for more information.

At work today. Had to try to explain to a lady ...data...like....just the whole ....everything...
What data is, how it travels, how its measured, what its called, GB's bigger than MB's.
Just about every one asks "how long will X amount of data last" "How much can I do with X amount of data" My answer is always...errrrrrr I cant tell you exactly. So they insist on giving me examples. "How many movies can I download?"....... I think these people are lucky im the one explaining this stuff to them. Otherwise they would never even begin to grasp it.

I actually do have a story now I'm thinking about it.. Let me sum it up
A coworker of mine (I work at a supermarket) sees himself as a tech fanatic. Once he was talking about a build he wanted to do.
He started talking about getting all top tier Asus ROG stuff, 7970's, H100 (at the time).. All massively overpriced stuff. And.. four 250GB harddrives in a Raid 0.
So I asked him why would you do that? Raid 0 is a stupid raid, just get one big fast drive and a SSD for boot and stuff, much more reliable that way. But he didn't move one bit.
Some time after that we we're having a break and we started talking computer again. I asked him why he wants to go AMD in stead if Nvidia for a GPU. He replied: ''No, Nvidia cards are made by Intel, and I dislike Intel!''. I told him Intel only makes integrated graphics and not discrete ones and that Nvidia and Intel are in no way affiliated, but he wouldn't change his mind.
After that he started talking about coolers. He said he had a H100 once before. ''Yeah, that thing is so nice the temps of my CPU we're lower than the temperature of my room!''
I tried to teach him a small lesson in physics on why that would be entirely impossible, but he kept yammering about.
One time after that he started talking about thermal compound and how he always spreads it over the entire CPU instead of a single blob in the mid. I tried to tell him why that method is shit, to which he replied ''I always do that and I have the lowest temps of all my friends!'' (Obviously made up).
Usually I don't care if people believe things that aren't optimal/true/good in any way, but this guy was so immensely dense it was unbelievable, and a complete tool too. Every word you tried to throw at him just bounced off.

so this one time I was hanging out with my friend who is the manager at a tech shop by where I live and a girl comes in and buys a 2tb hard drive. we let her know that we install hard drives for $1 (the cost of the sata cable we use) and she says "just because I am a woman does not mean I cant work on computers" and leaves in a huff. two days later she comes back in saying that the HDD is not working so we take the computer in to look at it, we open it and the HDD is nowhere to be seen, so we ask her where it is. and it turns out that she scanned it and put the scanned image on her desktop to install the drive. and to top that off she threw away the drive she paid almost $200 for and she wanted us to give her a new one.

    YOU WIN THIS ROUND!!!
I am mistaken, I thought this was as close to ref as it got: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487070&cm_re=evga_970-_-14-487-070-_-Product
Also look at the price difference. The "Reference" is twice the price as the non-ref. I think that is just an Nvidia showpiece
