I think you might have gotten the 86 mm from Aquatuning, they list the
thickness as 86 mm.
Curious...
I believe even TastyPC had mentioned it in her review of Alphacool Radiator Line. Let me get a good ruler out and do some measurements
EDIT: @VSG @alpenwasser. Just did some measurements. The total thickness is 86mm and they do have 1cm gaurd along the edge of the radiator on both sides, which makes the radiator core thickness 66mm.
-
Nope, they are 80mm thick with 3mm of housing on each side. This is from personal measurements, as well as from the Alphacool, PPC and the Specialtech.co.uk reps on OCN.
Interesting, I swear I read that it was 10mm cards on each side. Just did a measurement, it is indeed 80mm. Don't I look silly
-
In Canada we generally see the prices around 190$ unless there has been some place selling it for 150$ and i was not aware of it.
I know what you mean, I live in Vancouver.
-
The Core thickness on Monstas are 66mm.
Radiators are 86mm thick with 10mm guards on both sides.

Yes, I would call that sufficient. And if it really turns out not to be, you can always
add more rad power later on.
Also: Caselabs
EDIT:
Side note: I'm currently cooling one Titan, two 130W CPUs and the
rather hot 5520 chipset with one HardwareLabs SR-1 560 rad, which
has a core thickness of less than 40 mm. Fans are barely spinning,
temps are at about 43 C to 50 C for CPUs and GPU when system is
under full load (BOINC running on both CPUs and the GPU, total heat
dissipation about 550 W). Just as a frame of reference.
Ahh very interesting. I think the radiator space I have will more than enough for my build. Especially with AP-15s @ 5V. I'm just glad my 4930k hits 4.9 ghz at not a stupidly high voltage
-
-
For a CPU and 2 GPUs i think 2 360 monstas and a 240 UT60 is good enough. That CPU hits 4.9 ghz @ 1.4V.
-
That's actually the exact case I've been planning to get for my future build. It's classy and small enough to fit on top of my table. I've looked at the Enthoo and 900D and the problem is their huge size and lack of customization. Also, from what I've read I don't know if a 80mm will clear the top rad mounts. I see that you have the top accessory so that might not be an issue.
I measured It today, a monsta can fit in the roof and the side with the fans on the outside. There's also room to vertically mount the 880ml aqualis with the pump and pump adapter on the accessory plate.
GPU Waterblocks will be coming in on Monday so look forward to that!

Update #3
Here's is a gallery for you guys for the case I have chosen. Don't mind the missing switch. I am replacing the Lamptron switches that Caselabs ships to "proper" Belgin switches. See you guys in the next update!
Enjoy
Case without its covers on
Shot from the rear
Horizontal ATX motherboard Tray
Triple 120 Radiator side mount, a monsta will find its home down there
The accessory mount where I will be mounting my Aqualis System. The UT60 240 will be mounted in the front mount.
Triple 120 Radiator top mount, another resting place for a monsta
The covers go on!

Oh how I wish I had money This looks great.
Not to worry! You will have your chance one day
-
Just realise that you wont get that kind of throughput to your devices(PC, phone, etc) If you want the full 1900 mbps thats advertised you will probably have to buy 2 of these and set one of them up as a bridge. And even then its a long shot.

Just got the case and a package from Aquatuning. I will have another update later today!

That is a really sexy CPU Block!
Why thank you It does look rather lovely.

Hey everyone!
First update for this build. Got a few components so I thought I would get straight to work. There are more components on the way today, so I will have another post soon. There may be a few teasers
Enjoy!
Just some pictures of the board. The CPU Block is already installed onto the board, I forgot to take pictures of the install.
Installed the Ram onto the board.

Just click this icon: which is located in the top right corner of each post and it should bring up a popup which contains a link that will direct anyone who clicks it to that given post. Just copy and paste that link to your table of contents
Thank you!

Do you already have the ax1200i? It has the same fan as my hx1050, and TBH it's god awful loud. Shop around before if you haven't already purchased it, something like a seasonic, evga 1000 p2 or something.
I've owned it for about a year now, The fan probably wont even be spinning most of the time. Will probably be running the AP-15s @ 5V if there's not any strange motor noise.

Yes there is a difference.
Retail: You can use the Key on I believe 3 PCs at any given point in time.
OEM: Once you change the motherboard of a Rig you will need to re-enter the key due to the hardware change.
-
CPU overclock-ability is never guaranteed with Haswell.
Welcome to the Silicon Lottery, Good Luck.

Replace the acrylic with glass and you wont have the micro scratching problem that has plagued everyone.

Interesting. I just measured one of the 360, they are 86mm total thickness with 1cm guards.
