  1. Kinda weird but I can only open a limited amount of websites and I literally just need someone to copy and paste what these articles say if someone has time because my network will not let me open reddit or steamcommunity forums. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2180417704
  2. unsurprisingly this is very vague if you use hardware monitor or hardware info by cpuid and have it open in a second monitor it would tell you a possibility of one of the many reasons as to what could be causing this issue. It gives information like voltage peaks, temp limits, and so on but if nothing spikes it has to be a windows or some other kind of software issue.
  3. hmm... not sure then. It could be a driver issue, or any kind of software issue really. It could also be an issue with either the cpu or gpu spiking in temps for very quick seconds or overvolting/undervolting would cause that too. But if you had the actual hardware monitor by CPUID I believe it would actually tell you if you had any kind of spike like that while gaming and you could address it from there.
  4. Sounds a lot like cooling issues. Are you able to use hardware monitor to see what's happening in the middle of your gaming sessions?
  5. I don't see an issue with bottlenecking but you may have an issue with the power supply not being able to handle that gpu. I can't quite remember how long ago that I used an rx580 but it was fairly power hungry if memory serves.
  6. I believe the mx500 would be more worth it over time. The BX 500 uses qlc nand and the mx500 uses tlc nand which just means, in very basic terms, that the mx500 essentially will last longer for your uses.
  7. I would imagine that there may be a bent pin in the cpu socket or the cpu itself. There could also be an issue with the power supply. I know it worked fine before according to your statement but over time I find disconnecting things that have been plugged in for so long tends find a way to make it stop working. It sounds a bit strange but it happened a few years ago on a 12 year old dell desktop I had where I disconnected a 4 pin cpu connector and a fan but when I plugged them back in they didn't work.
  8. I would absolutely take a 3070 for 300 that is an amazing deal, I personally have a 3080ti and a 4080 in two separate systems. But I spent way too much money for both. I have bought gpus for my friends but if I could get a 3070 for 300 I would do it instantly.
  9. SO I am currently deployed at sea and I have very limited internet access, strangely this sight works perfectly fine but no other forums do. I have finished the fable 3's main game but for some reason I don't think the dlc is enabled I have all files and they were put in the correct spot and extracted but I don't know if there was a specific file that I was supposed to edit or change. I can't even pull up any of the sites that say what to do either. If anyone could help that would be amazing.
  10. the turbo ratio group just won't let me hit ok so yeah and the tpl setting just don't do anything not taking screen shots because I am too lazy and don't want to download a program to do that.
  11. yeah so all of that is grayed out in throttlestop like I said earlier... also my mobo doesn't seem to have any power limit setting or at least none that I can seem to find.
  12. Alright so I have a 10850k, asrock z490m itx motherboard and 32gb of trident z 3600mhz ram. I am trying to overclock using the Bios but for some reason everything just ignores the overclcoks I used hw monitor in conjunction with aida 64 and kept seeing my clocks go from 5.2ghz quickly to 4.8ghz and then down to 4.3ghz when running it for 10 minutes temps were below 80c. I also tried using Intel XTU but no matter what I do it just says overclock is disabled for my system. I also tried using throttlestop because I used to use it solely for for undervolting my laptop cpu and I felt I understood it very well but most of the setting were grayed out or not improving my system performance. I am now at a loss and thinking my motherboard has some kind of restriction on it or something but it seems like a lot of people aren't able to overclock this cpu from some of the threads I read. Please help and if you need more info don't hesitate to ask.
  13. no touch screen and I already tried the device manager stuff
