  1. light and simple, Logitech g100s. average weight with 2 side buttons, Zowie fk1 Heavier with more buttons, Logitech g502. Yeah, Zowie mice are quite good, especially the fk1. Zowie mice have the best cords, flexible and quality. The fk1 has the best implementation of the 3310 sensor, which is the premium non propietary sensor. The only issue is Zowie doesn't believe in mouse drivers, so there is no software, so they had to limit your dpi options to 4: 400, 800, 1600, and 3200.
  2. yeah, thats kind of crappy... If they don't have a replacement in stock, they should give you the newer model for free. Aren't there consumer protection laws in the EU that are like 100 times more powerful then whats in the US?
  3. I used 3.5g deathadders for awhile up until about a year ago. I had gotten 2 for free the first died after about 6 months of use, the 2nd last for a about a year. I thought they were a little heavy and i really disliked the slick sides. I originally had bought a g400 to replace the deathadder but i was unlucky enough to get the first version that had prediction and cable issues. This had turned me off to finding a replacement for awhile. Someone eventually gifted me a cm storm spawn, after trying it for over a month i never found the sensor very good. I ended up buying a Zowie EC1 EVO CL, and immediately loved the sensor, felt worlds better then the deathadder's, also Zowie cables are the best i've ever encountered to this day, the g502's cable is probably 2nd best. But the ec1 was a little large, so i ended up buying an ec2 evo cl, which i loved as well. The only problem i had with the EC2 was it definately performed best at 2300 DPI and a lot of games really don't support a low enough sensitivity for me to get my desired distance per 360 with such a high DPI. I think my next round of purchases as a Roccat Pyra, Logitech g100s, and Logitech g502. I ordered Pyra first, but it was being delivered from Korea so it was going to take a month to arrive. The g100s 2nd, and while waiting for the g100s to arrive, the g502 came out and i picked one up at Best Buy. I used the g502 for a couple months, trying to get used to the weight because the sensor was great. But i could never get used to the weight. After using the g502 for months, switching to the pyra so an immediate improvement in my performance, despite the pyra having some mild angle snapping. It also had a relatively short cable. I was given a g402 and didn't like the shape or weight, so quickly stopped using it. So i ordered a Roccat Kone Pure Military and a Zowie FK1 both close to their relase, the Zowie FK1 still hasn't arrived and the store i ordered from won't answer my emails. So i used the Roccat Kone Pure Military although i was a bit disappointed by the sensor, it felt a little unresponsive, and the cable was still a little short and a little stiff. I was really alternating between the Logitech g100s and the Roccat Kone Pure Military. The main problem with the g100s being the lack of side buttons and lack on onboard memory; its sensor is great, just a max speed a little on the low side for me. Then I was given a Logitech g302 and it has the side buttons and onboard memory that was lacking in the g100s and has the best lmb and rmb clicks i've ever tried, but is a little bit heavier then i would like, and honestly i would much prefer the g502's sensor in a lighter mouse. I tried the Razer Krait which uses the same sensor as the 4g Deathadder, just to test out that sensor in a lighter mouse, and hated the sensor, felt horrid. Bought a WMO which i love, but the max speed is a bit low, it lacks side mouse buttons, plus you need to run third party software to have it work at 500hz. Right now i'm using the g302. Roccat recently came out with a firmware update i think for the Kone Pure Military, however the short and stiff cable is preventing me from giving it another shot. I preordered a Ninox Aurora which i think was shipped Mon. So hopefully will arrive soon. So i guess the answer is no, there isn't a mouse i'm in love with.
  4. If you like the shape of the kone. I'd just get the kone pure military. Great sensor, the ergonomics you like and are used to.
  5. lets not forget star wars x-wing and tie fighter being sold on GoG.
  6. i'm guessing i'm the only that spent the time to look at the mice at that sight.... get the Razer Deathadder or Razer Abyssus,
  7. of the three, the g502 has a much better sensor then the others. You know the m65 has a laser sensor, right? Weird that you say you want an optical then list the m65. The g502 and m65 are both pretty heavy even if you have no weights installed in them. But should fit fine for your hands. The deathadder is lighter with a decent sensor. If you want light with good sensor, maybe the Zowie FK1, or Logitech g402 would be more appropriate.
  8. Ninox Aurora? not the best sensor, but the best i could find with 2 side buttons below $40 https://www.massdrop.com/buy/ninox-aurora-mouse
  9. Logitech g100s if you don't mind a mouse without any side buttons. Has a great sensor, i think 2 or 3 year warranty. Right now i can get them on Amazon for $27 USD, i think they're even cheaper if you get on ebay.
  10. the g402 is a fine choice, especially if you liked the shape and weight of the mx518, g400, or g400s. It uses the AM010 sensor, but it has a much higher max speed then other mice with that sensor because it uses a gyroscope and accelerometer that takes over at the extreme speeds that make the sensor malfunction and would normally make your mouse stop tracking consistently. It also has zero smoothing if you set the DPI to anything below 2,080 and if you set it above, it has only very light smoothing.
  11. if you want light and simple, Logitech g100s if you want average weight with 2 side buttons, Zowie fk1 if you want heavier with many buttons, Logitech g502
  12. you can get new mouse feet http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hotline-Games-Razer-Deathadder-Mouse-Feet-2014-Edition-/111427911214?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item5f8e9d3e11
  13. What happened is pixart (company with monopoly on building mouse sensors) ruined the 3090 sensor. It was designed to have a max dpi no higher then 3500 and then for marketing hype they increased the max to 4000 and it ruined the feel of the sensor because it required massive smoothing. The S3988 sensor in the 2013 deathadder and deathadder chroma has a similar issue. But if you get a modern optical mouse, using the 3310, 3366, or the AM010 optical sensor you should be fine. There aren't good and bad things about optical and laser. There are good and bad things about individual sensors. Unfortunately all modern laser sensors have significant acceleration. In the future, there could be good laser sensors. While there is no flaw with the 3366 or 3310 and only a relatively low max speed for the AM010 that 99% of people won't reach. AM010 and 3366 right now are Logitech exclusive. The g502 has the 3366, while the g602, g402, g302, and the g100s has the AM010. Every optical mouse with a max dpi of 5,000 has a 3310 sensor. The Mionix 7000 series also has a 3310 sensor, and the zowie fk1 also has a 3310 sensor. Corsair's implementation of the 3310 is worse then average. Zowie's implementation of the 3310 sensor is better then average.
  14. no, there is nothing one technology is capable that the other isn't capable of. But as of lately all the good gaming sensors have been optical. i would recommend the zowie fk1, logitech g502, logitech g100s.
  15. If you want a small, light mouse, and don't mind a lack of side buttons, Logitech g100s. if you want an average weight mouse, with 2 side buttons, Zowie FK1 If you want a heavier mouse with many buttons, Logitech g502 m65 has a horrible sensor
  16. If you want a small, light mouse, and don't mind a lack of side buttons, Logitech g100s. if you want an average weight mouse, with 2 side buttons, Zowie FK1 If you want a heavier mouse with many buttons, Logitech g502 It sounds like you're ok with just 2 side buttons because you're thinking about the deathadder and the rog gladius. The Zowie FK1 would be a great choice. The only downsides are that because it doesn't have drivers, it has limited DPI choices, and the lmb and rmb are slightly stiffer then most mice. The deathadder and gladius have the S3988 sensor, and its notorious for being unresponsive with a lot of smoothing. So i would not recommend them.
  17. If you want a small, light mouse, and don't mind a lack of side buttons, Logitech g100s. if you want an average weight mouse, with 2 side buttons, Zowie FK1 If you want a heavier mouse with many buttons, Logitech g502
  18. are you referring to that EVGA representative's comment? No, they have not fixed the 9800, bold faced lie.
  19. with laser vs optical there is nothing one technology can do that the other cannot. However modern implementations of the laser sensors including the m65's have speed related variance commonly referred to as acceleration.
  20. topre is a capacitive switch, so topre all the way. what i currently use.
  21. logitech just came out with a g302. Over 30grams lighter then the g502. Has 2 smb. Has mechanical springs for the lmb and rmb which feel really nice. Main downsides is a mediocre max speed, which shouldn't be an issue if you aren't a low sensitivity fps gamer and then the shape is small for many people, but looks like it might be right up your alley.
  22. i'd choose the logitech setup if you want to go with all a single brand. the g502 is the only mouse with the best sensor on the market. Logitech G710+ looks cool, i haven't done much research on it. but it looks like it has mechanical switches and o-rings and looking at the video of a tank running over it, looks pretty durable.
  23. i'd recommend the Corsair m45 over the logitech g600
  24. the fk1 has the 3310 sensor which is a common sensor that many mice have. Even if you beleived that sensor to be the best, it would be misleading to say the fk1 has the best sensor on the market without mentioning the fact that other mice have that sensor. The g502 has a better sensor, the 3366. It has no smoothing, while the 3310 in the fk1 and the S3988 in the deathadder 4g do have smoothing. The 4g Deathadder is actually notorious for smoothing, the only sensors more notorious for smoothing are 3090s with 4000dpi.The g502 also has a higher max speed. It has also been proven using mechanical means that there is very minor and consistent acceleration on the 3310 below its max speed, which to avoid confusion with the inconsistent and significant acceleration on many mice, people simplify as saying has no acceleration, because it isn't even measurably significant enough to measure without mechanical help. While no one has found a single flaw with the 3366 sensor.
