  1. Dont give your personal rig away linus! Its special to you due to the senamental value, And you cant "replicate" that. Username: Chair_Stealer And my favourite videos were the Thrustmaster Warthog A10c and the hardline Watercooled rig, I would love to do that someday with my own rig https://www.vessel.com/videos/Yj4PbcgKj https://www.vessel.com/videos/JYZEYDYx0 Thanks
  2. That would be pretty much the same thing, If you have evidence it has input protection, You will be fine. But yet again I would still recommend that you get an amplifier for so you dont risk burning out the inputs. Just because the sub has rca (red and white inputs) doesnt mean you plug both the Rca plugs in, Only one is utilized. If you do end up going down the road of picking up a home theater amp, You will still have to find out if it has input protection (in most cases it will). Up untill recently I was running a cd player as the 3.5mm jack input and pluging that into the amp for the risk I may damage the amp, But now I have a sound card so I do not require it anymore as well as a better amp. I hope this helps. Chair
  3. For a subwoofer like that, You will be better off picking up an amplifier. Most 3.5mm audio jacks put out a small amount of power, And can have a risk of burning out the inputs on an amplifier, but an amplifier (a good one that is) has input protection. Being a yamaha it MAY have input protection, But unless you find evidence of it having input protection I wouldnt take the risk. I would get an amplifier and you will get better inputs and have a huge amount of expansion (just look at mine, A 7.3 surround sound system) Chair
  4. All that I can think of is try Ebay. You are bound to find someone who will post anywhere. Chair
  5. Well to be honest, I didnt pay for anything, I have picked all of it up over the years and I originally had a single subwoofer (the center one) and got the other 2 from a friend who I was working for and I work for them due to the amplifier being fried (turns out when I did a tear down his child spilled coke or something like that down there with out my friend noticing ) But I never Bought anything except for 2 speakers for $10. Score I suppose. Its just knowing what your doing, Who you know and what you find Chair
  6. Why not have 3 subs, Gotta love that feeling when you feel the bass through you. Why the hell not. Third sub is abit hard to see but that is what it looks like
  7. If you want Surround sound I'm not quite sure due to me having a 7.3 surround sound system (tad more then $140), but a great 2.1 setup would be the Logitech z623 speakers. They have great sound, And even better bass. If you look in the right places you will pick them up for $140 (If I can if them for that in Australia, You'll find them reasonably easily over there), But that is my opinion. Also I have seen alot of reviews and almost are all positive. Chair
  8. Yeah no one ever laughs at my rig.... Especially when it doesnt turn on for 7 hours and rebuilt twice in that time....
  9. Im no PC expert/ gaming expert in anyway. But it seemed to have done the trick with my pc (a q6600 and a 6850), I was getting terrible FPS in Arma 3 low graphics, Changed a few settings to medium to high and getting playable fps. But like I said, I aint no expert in anyway. Chair
  10. As much as im trying not to be rude, Its Arma 3, Take what you can get... But the way to work it, do a bit of research, But what I have found with the graphics is: The lower the setting, The more cpu intensive it gets The higher the setting , The more GPU intensive it gets. Chair
  11. Im running a Gigabyte 6850, And for some reason it doesn't like high temps like that, It has happened before, And with the side panel off I get Idles of around 60 degrees, But on its 70+, But I dont think my psu would have been happy exhausting all that hot air either. Oh well it is Not really a huge problem to be honest, Just thought I would share Chair
  12. Happily playing Crysis 3 for about 30 mins. Game randomly crashes and I was all depressed, But when it minimized to tell me it stopped working, It said "Video Drivers crashed". This had me thinking because my computer was so noisy from the fans at what seemed to be 100%. Look at my temps on the keyboard. 94 degrees.... Well maybe I should not have my side panel on while gaming and pay more attention to my temps. Woops... Chair
  13. I would think that An Intel Nuc would be useful for a media pc. Hence what I would do with it
  14. I am look at getting one of these And I would like to know will it use bandwidth, I am well aware if I download files off the network (the cloud based system) will. I have read somewhere (not sure if it is true or not) it will upload things to the cloud. So will it use bandwidth throughout my network when Im transferring files around from all the computers in the house Thank you Chair
