  1. I'm not sure if the program he's talking about, the online casino, will respond well to rivatuner frame rate tools Not to say it will ban him or anything, but it might not have the option to disable vsync It's pretty likely the display frame rate counter needs VRR, nvidia calls it "G-Sync" to be enabled to actually count the fps. Most displays I'm aware of it can't count fps with VRR off. GT 710 is not compatible with G-Sync, so it's not something to worry about. It's a feature introduced on gtx 650 and gtx 750. All im saying is I don't expect the fps counter in your monitor to work properly
  2. Which games have laggy animation? Are you using an fps counter to check if it's system slowdown
  3. I only said my previous comment cause op mentioned a 3D mode in an earlier post
  4. Sounds like you were in 3D mode without glasses to correct it Imo 1080p in 3d will be two 960x1080 fields on some displays.
  5. Based on the manual you posted you should be able to get 144hz over dvi and 165hz if you run a DP cable.
  6. Intel graphics have no actual vram, it just uses your system memory Install the program "gpu-z" for more accurate info, but the simple answer is you have 4GB of Vram attatched to your 940mx, and when you exceed that anything over 4gb will be stored in main memory, which is slow and bad.
  7. Tbh it's hard to apply the same logic to a software service. Something like alphabet or microsoft, the reality is their business model relies on adding stupid features to their solutions, and it's not really possible to "add features" without changing terms and conditions. I do agree with you, I think the reality is that any update that changes terms should be opt in
  8. I haven't changed my view on this, I don't think the mustang is a muscle car. The f150 Raptor R is closer to what a muscle car is in my eyes than the mustang The Charger is a muscle car and I'm interested in seeing if the Banshee engine makes it to market. The corvette is about as far from a muscle car as it gets, and the camaro isn't one either. The Cadillac CT6 black wing is the closest thing gm makes to something that could be a muscle car
  9. You need to find what's called the thread diameter, thread pitch and length. And then you just purchase a matching screw. Thread length is measured just the length of the threaded part of a screw. Pitch is the distance between the threads. It isn't effective to measure this. Chances are it's a metric thread. Usually for a given diameter there will only be 1-2 pitch formats https://www.lexcocable.com/media/pmve5dll/lexco-metric_thread_size_chart.pdf This is a chart from smallest to largest metric threads
  10. I'm not fond of the original design, and I'm less fond of this one, partially for the removable disk drive Although If the disk drive attatchment is reliable, then this will be the first sony system that won't die with its disk drive in the long term, which is good
  11. Would it be more wise to simply use software to lower the CPU usage and slow the process down? It would be a reasonable expectation that doubling the core count should increase general windows performance, but alternative choices would be a dedicated rendering PC on side from your main PC for user tasks.
  12. The 300C I would absolutely view as a muscle car, as I would the modern Charger, the old Marauder, The 90s Impala, the Aussie GTO and G8 and a few other cars.
  13. What is the muscle car Ford makes? The Marauder was discontinued nearly 2 decades ago GM still makes the Cadillac CT5-V, Dodge still makes the 300c and Charger
  14. Virtual reality, the massive industry push against the actual reality that 1/3-1/2 of people are incapable of using it without being sick is just delaying the inevitable.
  15. Amd wrote the software as an async compute task, it doesn't have any ai processes involved. It's in short, a system of combining frames, nvidia includes hardware to accelerate the process, AMD on the other hand wrote code, that hypothetically can use some of the rendering time on some of the hardware that's not being utilized to complete the process. There are advantages to both methods.
  16. The problem with a subscription heated seat model is its act to diminish the ownership model in something that used to be a completely forgone conclusion. No matter someones paid status on heated seats they drive around with the seat heaters in their vehicle, and without working with BMW'S scheme the heaters are inaccessible due to DRM. unless there is some fuseable link to enable permanent functionality of the heated seats, it's just a software key that allows the user to operate it. What if someone factory resets their car, and they have lost access to the heated seat functionality. What if BMW discontinues the service that authenticates the heated seats to operate?. If a customer modified their car to heat the seats through a seperate switch will BMW retaliate against the customer? The issue with BMW doing this embarrassing shit isn't that they didn't offer a one time fee, it's that they came up with the idea to charge rent for heated seats in the first place Along with Toyota's embarrassing remote start debacle this is just evidence that putting technology in cars was a mistake
  17. I didn't have a pre established narrative i was expecting, so I didn't feel like the sequels were wrong until 9 came around and collapsed the entire trilogy in on itself
  18. I'll be watching mandolorian over the next couple weeks, I saw Kenobi cause I love Ewan Macgregor as Obiwan. I'm not a big "lore" guy so I've stuck to the movies for the most part, I only watched Tartakovsky's clone wars, never was able to get into Filoni's clone wars. I'll probably watch the other shows eventually, was just worried I wouldn't get ashoka. I like the Ralph McQuarie based designs of Rebels, and I kind of like the Darth Maul stuff, from the clips I've seen
  19. How did your setup go? I have denon x1700, a 5.1 round of SVS speakers (prime bookshelf, prime satellite, prime centre), and an LGB9-55 Very very pleased with my purchase. No atmos or anything like that though
  20. I haven't watched the tv stuff yet (I do not support the mouse), but I need to come and represent the small group of people who believe 8 is good. I'd go so far to say The Last Jedi is the best film the series has released since Jedi. Star wars was basically ruined for me, but I still hold out hope some good film makers can sneak out some more quality films in the next round of Disney stuff.
  21. I specifically bought an galaxy S9+ because no iPhone has a finger print scanner, and no iPhone has a headphone jack, and no iPhone has a back button. One of those 3 probably could have sold me on an XS
