  1. I would like the keyboard, I've been using a crappy dell one that came with my mom's old computer... I actually almost bought this keyboard a few days ago but there is a few things higher on the list that I should buy... Like I need a new wap mine is slowly killing it's self...
  2. isnt the dell service manual awesome? I was actual surprised when i found it, it was actually a part of my purchase decision. I am used to having to use some random guys pictures. this is awesome. so i just pick a random decent looking one? that i have antenna for?
  3. I have this laptop, I did bump up the ram to 16GB on my own for $36. im glad that I did. can I upgrade the wifi solution to some thing with a bit more speed? I mean it seems fine for daily tasks so far but if I can tinker I willl. that and I am having a slight problem with mine that it is quite noisy. some times it gets grumpy and decides to broadcast static through my speakers. did you have the same problems?
  4. As some one who teaches chemistry this made me twitch a little... It would just be 10Ah. It sounds weird when you say kilo-mili-amps-hour. They label it 10,000mAh for marketing reasons. Sorry... Was very bothered... Carry on. Now I'd like to see both of those, do you have any links to the projects? What do you do for charging them? What do you use them for?
  5. Ooooo interesting.. I didn't think about this in house streaming thing...
  6. so judging of the video it seems like 1600 will be fine unless I missed some thing Sounds good thank you very much for your help!
  7. sorry! I'm learning how this forum thing works I have a few questions for you see above.
  8. Oh I had another question too! the Enthoo Lux includes 1 x 200mm fan in front 1x 140mm fan up top and 1 x 140mm fan in the rear. am I going to need more fans to cool it or are the stock fans going to do the trick?
  9. Thank you! Would there be a large benefit to the faster ram? I know I already have too much of it but "I just need it" is why I kinda went with it. (im a huge tab fiend I have 27 tabs open right now...) (ps links to an article would be a fine answer) are you saying I should go with more than 620W or is that good?
  10. Im from the US my budget is about 1500 but could be convinced to spend more or less. this is my first build and would love some feed back. also this is my first "real" post LTT so if I did something wrong please let me know. Aim The goal here is to do 2 things play games and video editing. I'm not looking for killer settings but decent would be good. edit video, I am some what of a hobbyist in video production. I have a love for doing things practically in camera and in post. I do a little 3D work both for video and 3d printing. I am a tinkerer so I plan to play with overclocking and maby water cooling in the future. basically I'm looking for a "jack of all trades..." and yes I know the rest of the saying "...master of none" the price point isn't rock solid I could be convinced to spend a little more cash for better performance if it makes sense. Right now I have one 1080p monitor later I will want a second monitor of who knows what resolution or size but gsync is looking very intriguing. I also have the peripherals that I would need, and eventually would get better ones. I went with the i7 4790k for the extra power to help video editing, and I know its a bit over kill for gaming. I really like the gtx 970 for its price to power ratio, it seems like it is a good place to be. I had trouble picking witch version to go with, I will be honest I went with the wind force for 2 reasons one because it seems generally liked and 2 there are waterblocks available for it. I know I'm not water cooling now but i like the option for it. ASRock Z97 EXTREME6 motherboards are hard to pick... this one is well liked and has decent features. this I feel the least solid on. I'm still tempted by ones with wifi and bluetooth but its not a necessity its just a feature I could use don't need to use. to be honest I'm tempted to wait for Luke's motherboard round up, I had just spent hrs researching and settled on this one, went on twitter and saw Linus hyping it. it better come soon. power supply is interesting... pc part picker is saying 356W and then the similar build on logical increments is using a 750W if someone could clear up what to do for this that would be awesome. the case I know I'm shelling out lot of extra cash but I have some modding thoughts for down the line. win7 is what I want to use... every time I use 8.1 I get super frustrated, Im sure I could get used to it if there was a good reason to switch, I just haven't had some one come up with a good enough one. As this is my first build everything is up for discussion. I am really looking forward to your feedback, I would love to hear what you would change and why.
  11. I would edit all the video do all the 3d rendering... And Maby some hard core math simulation for research at school.
  12. wait did you guys look in to the liquid cool people? I didn't do a whole lot of searching on them and i'm supposed to be studying but it seems like they done really even have a product ready for the market. also i read the patents, now i don't usually read these sorts of things but it seems so very vague you all should read this bit from puget from http://www.pugetsystems.com/nav/aquarium/mATX/customize.php this really stinks for puget because they are unable to fight it because they don't want to jeopardize the rest of their company.
  13. TheKuhler 1250 is pritty interesting Becuse it has dual pumps. I would guess this would make it quieter and more reliable
