    I am trying to code a front-end for a SQL database in Visual Basic. I am having trouble writing a query that will take what is entered in a text box, and use it to search the database and return a list of all relevant items. Dim entry As String = txtbxMANU.TextNewreport("SELECT [Manufacturer] FROM [Instruments table] WHERE [Manufacturer] LIKE XXXXXX ") I wish to query the database for a manufacturer and produce a list of all items made by them. Any ideas on how I can do this? Is it simply a lack of knowledge of syntax or is there more to it? Cheers guys Mike

    I am by no means disagreeing with the enhancement to the child pornography laws, I agree with them totally. What I disagree with is the Daily Mail influenced decision to ban (and it is a ban, you have to opt in as opposed to opt out) legal material.

    You can't restrict the whole population's internet access because parents can't set up a filter properly and are too computer illiterate to do something about it.The filtering has been around for years.

    The biggest issue I have with this is how they have passed it through. By pinning the filter part of the bill to the child pornography bill (of course no objections to that part) is the association they are making. There has been no vocal opposition to it because then it would appear you are defending child pornography.

    I disagree, the build quality of the S3 is incredibly bad. I haven't seen one that isn't broken for a long time. Of course iPhones break as well but not to the same level as S3s. In fact I would even say that there is a design flaw to the point where recalls should have been though about.

    I wouldn't say internet is that bad in London. My Virgin Media 100mbit package is like £30, although I might be bias as I only have to pay 1/4 of it. If your going to say the iPhone is overpriced, then you have to say Samsung are too, when I got my S3 last summer the packages where the same price, and the same up front cost too. Digital downloads are what annoy me the most. Physical copy of Daft Punk's R.A.M is £10, digital £7.50
