  1. I cannot vouch for this, my friend has the GTX 960 and cant play GTA V on high or ultra @ 1080p at 60fps.
  2. Thats what i thought, because CPU's are damage resiistent from physical movement from what i've heard.
  3. And if its the temp sensor, could it be the motherboard one, cpu one or both?
  4. Then what's the lag? It sometimes goes down to 80-90 if i put another external fan (like a fan for people), but shoots back up to 100 after some time.
  5. Well I don't think its throttling, not sure, because my frequencies are normal, its still clocking up to 3.0 and up.
  6. Using stock cooler, I don't have spare paste. It shouldn't be hitting 100C even with old paste on anyways should it?
  7. My Intel i5 4690K Haswell is reaching 100 degrees celsius. The fan was loose, I re secured it, but to no avail, it still overheats. Curiously however, it doesn't turn off due thermal issues, and doesn't throttle. Programs are laggy and often do not respond. I have a suspicion that it is the fan that is broken, but could it also be the sensor? Any ideas? Thank you in advance.
  8. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER! I HAVE LOST 2.5TB OF DATA! VALUABLE DATA! Recuva is coming up with files located IN I:/? I haven't overwritten anything and Scan and Fix deleted tons of stuff, but still seems to be on the drive somewhere.
  9. If it doesn't work after the patch verify cache through Steam.
  10. Ok, here's the story so far. I turned off my computer and booted off a Ubuntu Live CD. This goes without a hitch. I proceed to reboot and my issues arise. I get stuck at "Windows is Starting" and no orbs of light pop up like usual. Note that I'm on Windows 7. It proceeds to go to System Repair. I let it do its stuff and it says its fixed. I reboot and it gets stuck again, then goes back into System Repair. It tells me it can't be fixed. It comes up with SystemRepairOffine, AutoFailover, and CorruptFile. I googled this and none of these solutions would work. My install disk tells me the version of Windows isn't compatible and this is the same disk I installed with. So I run bootrec.exe and /scanos. Tells me I have NO installations. Doesn't make sense because I'm trying to fix one right now. I pull the hard drive out. I plug in one of my spares and installed Windows. I plug in the other HDD and it tells me there's something wrong. I let it "Scan and Fix" overnight. I wake up and take a look at the drive. Nearly all my files are gone. I take a look at the usage and I still have 2.4 used out of 2.72, but if I highlight all folders in the root directory it shows up as about 21 GBs. Where did everything else go? Its still obviously taking up space on the drive, but its not visible. And also it was at 208GB free before the "Scan and Fix", but now it shows up as 480. Where did my 200GBs of stuff go? And as well as that I had at least 1TB of stuff on my user profile. This tells me its still there but how can I find it?
  11. I always can get a closed end watercooler to cool down the CPU, but I have no idea on what to do with the VRM heatsinks.
  12. Did this just start? I believe this was an unofficial build, but I'm not sure, if it is contact the developer who built the ROM from a device tree and see if he can come up with a fix.
  13. So today I was messing around with my old iPod Touch, but I forgot the passcode. I decided to create a custom IPSW using Sn0wbreeze and try to restore it. The thing was, my power buttons was broken, so using Redsn0w I fired up the DFU IPSW creator, put it into Recovery (I think or maybe it was DFU, not sure) and restored it. I ended up with some error.I tried to turn it on and it wouldn't. Its stuck at a black screen. I tried everything, holding down all the buttons, and came up empty. I also tried running TinyUmbrella and RecBoot. TinyUmbrella launches, goes to a little bar saying "Reticulating spines", then goes to solid black bar, with no activity. RecBoot gives me errors with Unhandled Exceptions. RIght now I need a way to fix the black screen and/or get TinyUmbrella running. Thanks!
