  1. I get this to, especially when it's something I don't need at the time but know i will need later. The best thing I find that helps me get over it is to use the things I buy and over time, like a month of using it and adjusting everything to my preferences I find it tends to go away. That said some of the tips I've seen: Set a budget Make sure you need it/ will it add value to your work/life? Research to make sure it's the right choice Celebrate getting a good deal for it. After buying it don't look at other options out there for a while after They're all pretty standard, but they do help.
  2. I thnk it's more about them merging Android, and ChromOS instead of discontinuing one altogether. This might just be the first step into making them into one complete OS. For Android to replace ChromeOS it would need better navigation interms of an idea of a navigation bar designed for mouse use, and not icons used fo touch navigation. Eventually the 2 OS's will merge but for now it will be a step, similar to Windows 8. which was a step between 7 and 10.
  3. I tried vessel, but like most couldn't get over the ads, and the player is just horrible. I'm waiting for Youtube Red to be Launched in Canada. Once that happens I'll use it and move to Play music to lower the costs/Benefits of music and video subscription. Once YouTube Red is available in more places I think we'll see LTT and Others on vessel moving to using it, as it will be all 1 integrated platform instead of having to manage 2 different accounts on 2 different platforms. Come on YouTube Red. Get in CANADA.
  4. I think the big part about the rushed feeling is that episodes jump big gasp in time. I think between 2 episodes at one point it jumped like 2 years in show time, and didn't elaborate on what really all that happened in between so it's a big difference to see a show where they were doing one episode and then next the jump 2 years into the game where people have settles in a life of the game world instead of motivation to get back. The time gaps might also help with the fact that Kirito is so OP cause all he does is train, which is why he gets isolated by all the people at the beginning cause that's all he does.
  5. There were 3 major things that I care about with the Windows 9/threshold update is that they fix the scaling elements, allow you to choose between the Metro UI and the Start Menu (the metro is much easier to use than the start menu on my convertible with a touch screen.) Both of those it seems they have fixed from what people have said/links in this thread. Now the last thing is that I should be $20 or less to upgrade from any version of windows wether XP/Vista/7/8/8.1. Ideally it would be free but with Microsoft you never know we can only hope.
  6. I can't remember how I found Linus Tech Tips, I just remember watching for the first time then subscribing. Watching has helped me get more information, and more confidence towards wanting to build my own computer. Keep up the good word. Maybe do a few more unboxing of behind the scenes type videos.
  7. I'm betting that Windows 9 will release at the same time that Microsoft releases the Surface pro 4. Considering that the Surface pro line has been microsoft's flagship for windows 8 and 8.1 it only makes sense that the Surface Pro 4 will be the flagship for Windows 9.
  8. If you want some retro parts, how about the first computer I ever had an Amiga from 1985. Still runs and plays games. Requires a floppy to load kick start, the OS, and another floppy to start Workbench, the GUI . Currently it sits in the basement, I still play with it once in a while. Used to have a printer for it, can see the very edge on the left, but it broke, and couldn't repair it so get rid of it. Also managed to get a joystick, an expansion floppy disk drive, and an update to kickstart, and workbench. Anyone wanna play Lemmings, Test Drive 2, or Total Eclipse?
