    Just for local PHP development VMs are probably overkill. I'd recommend using MAMP which has everything already configured for you (it's meant for development purposes). It supports both Apache and Nginx, while it also includes MySQL.

    I loved the review of this little PC already, but even doing a giveaway is awesome! It's so compact yet it's powerful enough to do basically anything but 4K gaming. Would love to set this up on my desk to commemorate or maybe eventually even replace the big sandy bridge tower under it.
