  1. its a business network, I dont have access to the router config. thats why I'm going through a login server. How do I connect
  2. Hi, Im trying to setup my raspberry pi's wifi (using a usb adapter) but I dont know how. I've seen a few tutorials using command line but I dont have a password for my network. I sign in though my email account. so when I would normally go to type a password, I get redirected to a web page. help
  3. Thanks, I didn't understand that an audio interface was separate. And I think I will drop the schiit in favour of your suggestions
  4. Hi UwU, I wanna upgrade to higher-end audio but there is so much to learn. I was going to pick up an xlr mic + AT headphones and want to use a schiit asgard + a bifrost dac to run the headphones. Can I use the asgard's build in preamp to run the mic rather than buy a separate one. if so, how? It hasn't got an xlr connect and using an adapter rca is less preferable from what I heard. on top of this I would need the an A to D converter, like the Jil, right? In short, I want to buy a schiit stack to run headphone + xlr mic. How do I do this? Also, the reason I have chosen schiit for everything is because of good reviews and sticking with one brand is easy. TY for help, am confused
  5. As the title says, I can't decide between 2 rads. The chosen rad will be front mounted Rad 1. EK CoolStream SE 280 (28mm rad with 22 fpi) https://www.pccasegear.com/products/40561/ek-coolstream-se-280-dual-radiator Rad 1. EK CoolStream CE 280 (45mm rad with 16 fpi) https://www.pccasegear.com/products/32794/ek-coolstream-ce-280-dual-radiator I want the thicker rad for better performance but according to fractals case dimensions, it has exactly enough space. as you can see in the image below, the gpu length is 270mm + a 45mm rad = the max length of 315mm. I could play it safe and use a thinner rad, but will it be enough to cool an 8700k and 2080? it also has the advantage of more fpi, although it will be nosier. additionally, the thicker rad looks beast.
  6. Thanks for the advice guys. The only reason I was looking at mono-blocks was for aesthetics, but im now considering alternatives. My final question is; after a bit of research, I found that VRM's get between 125-150 degrees celsius, how much will this increase my loop temp? I would, but I don't want to add too much more complexity/cost to the loop.
  7. As the title says, I'm about to do my first custom water cooling loop and need someone whom'st knows what they're doing to check it. Here is the pasts list. My PC components: Mobo: Asus z390-i CPU: i7-8700k Case: Nano s case GPU: 2080 FE It's gonna be a tight squeeze but I think im good. As for the single radiator, it should be enough right? I overclock my cpu to 1.300v and leave the gpu stock. Hears a diagram. The right angle adaptors are placed at the right pump inlet and the radiator fitting it leads to. Note that the tubing is soft, but ms paint is hard
  8. Your article would be considered a methodology, but the title "Intel 9th Gen CPU Tests: Flaws in Testing Methedology" should be "Intel 9th Gen CPU Tests: Flaws in Testing Method" Edit - Is it even worth having this argument online?
  9. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methodology Just quoting my physics professor whom'st've only has a doctorate in quantum mechanics
  10. Method* Methodology is the study of methods. plz correct
  11. What the the 1180+? Usually the 'ti' edition comes way later perhaps its similar to the 1070ti or cards with aftermarket coolers?
  12. Be for I begin, I have no evidence to back this up and was just messing around with my tin foil hat. Ok So Intel is delaying their upcoming 10nm CPU's a year now and will be delayed for another year, claiming they are having issues with the new architecture. (https://www.gizmodo.com.au/2018/04/why-the-heck-is-intel-struggling-to-make-smaller-faster-cpus/). But what if its all an elaborate ruse? In order to stall for time, Intel has been (somewhat ironically) just strapping more cores to their CPU's. i7-7700k 4 cores > i7-8700k 6 cores > i9-9900k 8 cores. This has given a significant improvement to the CPU performance while on the same architecture. What if Intel has had their next gen architecture ready this whole time, but haven't released because they also want to go up to 8 cores on the mainstream CPU line. If Intel was to do a die shrink and add 4 more cores to their CPU across one generation, you would have a CPU that would perform say 300% better than the last generation and every gen after would seem lackluster. So, why do this when Intel could make way more money just releasing a lot of CPU's with incremental upgrades. 2 cores at a time and a die shrink at the end. kinda like The Hobbit. I'm not crazy but you have to remember that Intel is the biggest and the best CPU manufacture in the world, and apparently most other manufacturers aren't having a problem with it.
  13. 1. Bad overclock 2. Bad power delivery (i.e. Bad PSU) 3. Dodgy card
  14. Don't mind paying extra for the smaller size a 7 litre sentry case the smaller than an xbox one with a 980ti in it. Sounds quite wicked to me
  15. Even if I upgrade to a 1080ti or something more powerful later
