  1. Don't expect any game changing if your current drive is defragmented. If it's not, defragment it. You're not going to get magically faster with spinning rust, so try to reformat your current drive before going out to spend your hard earned $$. If you actually want to speed up your load times, buy an SSD. Most people don't play that many different games at a time, so if you get a 240GB OCZ Trion 150 and move your current games onto it, it will be much faster than the HDD could ever get.
  2. For some reason I don't care about Win7 support... ...walks away to recompile kernel
  3. I would never recommend a delta to a beginner. They are such a pain to calibrate. They also take a lot of vertical space, can't have the extruding motor on the head (problems with flexible filaments), are more unreliable and are generaly more complicated and therefor harder to maintain. I really like my Kryal.eu cube printer. It is very sturdy, yet easy to dissassemble and modify. If you have any questions regardin this printer, I'd be glad to help.
  4. Anyone starting should learn Python. Languages come and go, and so will Python one day, but his syntax enforces good habbits, which are usefull in any language. C (and it's derivates) are not a bad option either, but the demand for lower level languages is diminishing while high level languages are growing in use cases
  5. I bought a phone like this as a placeholder while waiting for my current phone to arrive...
  6. There is also the alternative of going the other way, making your PC so lound, it won't trigger your tinnitus anymore.
  7. Depends on your budget and how extreme you want it to be. There is also the option of going full out now and doing what AntVenom did. put all of your moving parts into a completely different room.
  8. No, If you want to build it up to a ful custom loop over time, take a loot at EK predator.
  9. You should change your icon, not the name. May you remind us of @The Official Czex.
  10. For some reason, I thought you were using adressable LEDs... not sure if they are made in this size though.
  11. What LEDs are you using? I don't think more than 2 layers should be needed.
  12. Looks like a great web surfing PC or perhaps a server for testing purposes. It would also make for a "decent" "mainstream" "gaming" rig, if you were to couple it with a lower level GPU that has no external power inputs. I myself am playing on one of these C2D CPUs and they are good enough on LoL, CS:GO, Minecraft...
  13. "Top-of-the-line" 1080p monitor... I never said the GTX 1080 is a bad card, it is however a terrible value on a 1080p monitor. So answer the real question, GTX1080 and a 1080p monitor or a GTX1070 and 1440p monitor? I'd go for the 1070.
  14. DON'T get a blower card. Just don't. Also, why are you limiting yourself to Asus cards? There are better and cheaper option available. Besides, have a graphics card and motherboard from the same manufacturer makes NO difference at all. But hey, if you want to burn your money, do it, it¨'s yours.
  15. http://pcpartpicker.com/product/ph38TW/evga-geforce-gtx-1070-8gb-sc-gaming-video-card-08g-p4-5173-kr The 1080 is just glorified and overpriced. 20% increase for 50% more money? meh, you might as well burn it.
  16. You should overclock it. Anyway the 1060 or 480 is the best option of you. If the 1060 is less than 25% more over the 480, go get the 480, otherwise the 480 is the better card.
  17. What speed is the CPU running at?
  18. Is it OCed or not? These 1366 CPUs got to 4GHz rather easily and then even a GTX 1070 wouldn't be a bad choice. However, I'd rather go for the GTX 1060, as there is no need for more on 1080p.
  19. How much do you want to spend? Even dual Titan XPs wont be bottlenecked by an OCed i7. And don't worry, I don't think you can buy a new GPU that wouldn't fit in the board. EDIT: The best value today is the GTX 1070 in the higher end. I don't know what you will be doing on the PC.
  20. The biggest problem I see here are motivations for content. Tek Syndicate is Wendell's hobby, but Logan's job. And I completely understand (but don't agree with) Logan's choices regarding running Tek Syndicate as a company. The problem is, that he (and Pistol) were the only ones taking it that way. Qain and Wendell did it for fun and Jennifer (according to Logan, and this time I trust him) left to start her own company. These two distinct approaches to YT had no chance of lasting for a long time. For Logan, it's #1 priority to make money and pump out videos in equal intervals, whereas Wendell doesn't care about money, he can put out videos when he is not needed in his actuall job. TL;DR: It never could've worked with two people doing one thing for completely different reasons.
  21. You can't trust Linus, we all know that the cake is a lie.

  23. The i7 isn't worth it. That amount of money for a clock increase... The storage is propably AHCI, but all configs will be the same. Definately go for FHD non touch, higher resolutions only eat battery without being noticably better, and glossy screens outdoor are just a disaster. Just get the biggest addon battery there is and you'll be set to go.
