  1. I guess I could have mentioned the PSU was a 600W OCZ 80+ bronze, like I said I was trying hard for an answer I couldn't think of, if a new PSU didn't fix the problem, I really wasn't looking forward to buying a new motherboard.
  2. Ya my theory was correct, PSU was old and wasn't clean enough power or delivering enough, sorry for being so dickish but like I said I wanted theories I couldn't think of myself, I had already ordered a new PSU, 2 days before I even made this post, I was looking for possible motherboard or GPU issues that other people had knowledge of. O ya installed new PSU today, it's all working good, my guess is that the 12v rail the 24 pin was running off of was just starting to hurt or I was exceeding the power of the rail.
  3. Ya, my theory is the PSU, but still doesn't make seance, 600W fine for gtx 480 but not fine for 1050ti. I thought the same thing tonight my evga supernova 650 g2 will be here hopefully that will fix the problem.
  4. I have my own theory, I want something I am not thinking of, full specs don't matter when going from a gtx 480 to a 1050ti, I want insight I don't already have. 480 system ran for 4 years no issues.
  5. So pc shuts down no BSOD, it's basically a power off that you get with a bad overclock, except I just put a 1050TI in my media center pc instead of a GTX480. PC always ran fine with the power whore that is the GTX480 until last week when I swapped it out for a 1050ti. The only thing I can think of is the 24 pin isn't putting out enough.
  6. DDR4 is designed to run at 2133mhz maximum as per spec, anything higher than 2133mhz is an overclock on ALL ram modules, until you are having issues running at 2133mhz your hardware is working as designed. Binning is just silicon lottery but almost all modules should be able to hit 2400mhz no problem.
  7. Kuhler 1250 bcuz AIO's are the shizz and im not sure exactly what it is about this one but it looks kinda dangerous and i like that
  8. that metal shroud on the omega is bawlin we need more metal! the lighting on the extreme is pretty decent cant go wrong with more lighting options (unless you cant turn them off then you can go wrong doesnt appear to be the case here tho)
  9. my favorite thing about the M8 is the SD slot so many decent phones out there that just cant last due to lack of expansion. 16, 32 or even 64gb is practically nothing anything this isn't the early 2000's.
  10. great coverage but sooo many videos hard to keep up with my sub box
  11. Buckling spring FTW although some are noisier than others but i find them easier to depress than mx switches and quieter than blues.
  12. I have a similar issue using bell sympatico except 90% of the day my ping times are 500+ usually around 1000ms tho and my D/L rate is like 0.15mb/s until about 11:30pm than i have the internet i pay for and want. When i called them they said that they only deal with whether or not i can use the internet or not even tho i mentioned that sometimes the pings are so bad that websites time out and i cant use the internet lol.
  13. Thanks for the replies and I'm still just using the windows option atm and I would go as far as to say I think i let it better than when I was using a home server for my NAS needs. As Skippy said about the only thing i kinda miss is the you know bragging rights lol. I have had no issues in the past week at all I am using a RAID 5 config for my storage (same as what i was using in my home server) and i even put my boot drive as an accessible drive just so if there's something i downloaded or something that i forgot to put into storage (or was too lazy to get around to moving it yet lolz). As far as performance i haven't even noticed any resources being used from it besides obvious network usage and hard drive activity.
  14. For years I've run a home server machine for the simple fact that i hate moving files back and forth whenever i need them (especially media files). I recently moved so was just getting around to thinking of getting my server back up this weekend. While is was on my mind it occurred to me why do i really need this? Can't remember exactly how i stumbled upon it but long story short i ran into the windows 7 network sharing and started using it and so far I can't see the point in why anyone would use anything else? (except maybe for nightly back-ups). Anyone have any thoughts on this? I've only been using it for a day now so I could be missing something big.
  15. If i win bye bye Athlon x2... I'll be able to use fraps again haha
