  1. We built 8 4k screen setup at work for monitoring. And man was the struggle real with getting them all work together. We definitely had some cable problems and probably some hardware problems that made the whole thing a pain to set up. GPU we are using is Nvidias NVS 810 Here's hoping you have better time with yours Linus, GLHF.
  2. Forza Motorsport is the more sim racing of the Forza series right? The racing sim on Xbox like Gran Turismo is on PS. I think the best alternative on PC is Project Cars. Other sim like racing games are full on sims like Assetto Corsa. Full on sims can be really difficult to get into and playing them with at least a wheel that has force feedback makes the experience 100x better. But maybe this can be sort of gateway drug for sim racing for you. If you are into rally driving then check out Dirt Rally. Rather nice rally game. Codemasters F1 games are also very close to full on sim games but not 100% on that level. But some of the PC versions are rather bad. So look it up before buying any of them. Step down from those almost sims is GRID and GRID Autosports. Depending on how much assists you use and difficulty it can be a rally nice mix of arcade and precision racing. Or more sim like but not quite full on simulation.
  3. If you look for class based multiplayer game check out Paladins. I've not played it but people seem to like it. It's still in Beta and it's F2P game. And competes with Overwatch. But since it is F2P then no real harm in trying it out. And it has a fairly large playerbase.
  4. I don't think having crossplay between platforms really has anything to do with the performance of the platform. Or at least it's a very small factor here. First of all there is all that politics of getting Sony and MS to play ball. And then there is the question of RockStar actually wanting to develop that feature. They currently have more then enough players on all platforms. And they would rather push out simple new content that people have to grind for or buy in-game currency to get. That is where they are making the money so that is where they will put their effort. Maybe, just maybe, when playerbase on all platforms shrinks a lot they will think about making it crssplatform to have one large playerbase.
  5. That usually is different game by game basis. And as a general rule games are priced at what people are willing to pay for it. GTA V for example for me in retail is still 59.99€. And on PC the big sales are what keep the price up. Outside of the sales the games probably don't sell that well anyway no matter what the price is. And when it's on sale there is a huge spice in sales.
  6. Probably never. The singelplayer doesn't seem to be what I would like. I'm not much of BF player and while EA has done some good with Origin I still have my doubts and I'm not buying any EA games.
  7. As mentioned it depends on how the devs implement their multiplayer system. For example if there is a server browser you can all join the same server. And there are several other options on how this could be done. Also lots of ways to not allow that. I don't think they are dumb enough to cut out the multiplayer players with GOG version but you never know. Smarter devs have done dumber stuff. But you have to look into what they are doing with it. I've not payed much attention to it and I don't really plan on doing it in the future.
  8. It looked pretty cool. Especially the lounge part. I don't know how are the living space options in Taiwan but I imagine that having more space takes way more money compared to US or even living in apartment complexes in EU. So if I could only get living space in some shoebox I would probably like a membership there and I would spend quite a bit of my free time there.
  9. Well, it depends on how well BF1 launches. If it's usual DICE game launch then BF4 will stay at a higher player base. If they do it well then BF4 player base will hurt a bit more. But regardless of that BF4 has more content and will probably have more content compared to what BF1 will have at launch. So that will keep players there. And DICE LA has done some good work on improving BF4 and it probably has a pretty decent dedicated community so I imagine it will have players for a long time. At least until EA closes down the servers. Then the game will be dead.
  10. If the difference between highest or lowest settings is 2FPS then you are not changing all the settings. I don't have the game myself but I remember from some stream that there were several sub option menu pages where all the settings are. The biggest thing that has an effect on performance is the LoD of the world and LoD of the objects. It might be called something different in the game. Or there is something wrong. Then go for driver updates and reinstall. Make sure that your CPU and GPU are not over heating.

I doubt that either of those games will actually be on sale since they are so new. So no reason to buy them on sale. Just decide after the release when reviews are out and we know witch of those games are actually good.
  12. The new Doom singelplayer nailed so many things including the soundtrack. They took what made Doom great back then, what makes Brutal doom great now and brought all that to more modern game design. And that 100% also goes for the soundtrack. From combat to ambient to every mission end screen making you feel like a real bad ass space marine.
  13. The multiplayer seems to be the weakest point of the new Doom game. It probably won't last for long. Especially if they will do multiplayer map DLC. I don't think it will be completely dead any time soon. But within a year it might have 300 people in multiplayer. Depends on how Bethesda will handle it. Maybe they won't let that happen. As for few months I don't think this game has enough in multiplayer to keep most player interested. At least on PC. And it has some tough competition as well. So I don't think that most people will stick around with Doom multiplayer. Singelplayer seems fun tough. I currently don't have a working PC but when I get it working I'll just get it based on singelplayer alone.
  14. Overclocking will have very small impact on performance. So your best option without upgrading is to lower settings. Check out LowSpecGamer on youtube. He creates videos on lowering graphics setting on games to get the best performance on low end PCs. He has lots of cool trick that you might want to check out. He has two videos on GTA V. Second one is with performance mods.
  15. Witcher 3 is a fantastic game. If you like RPGs with interesting characters it should be right for you. Don't preorder games. You won't get anything out from it. Other than a chance of getting a bad game. If you wait for the release you can read the reviews and see the communities feedback to see if it's actually good. Doom 4 seems to be getting more negative the more time is going on. I was giving it a pass when we first saw it. And the map making tools were cool. But since then they've gimped the map making tools. And added multiplayer map DLC. That means divided multiplayer community. Multyplayer will stay live about a year. Also the multyplayer doesn't seem that fun as well. The whole daemon system is one players fun in the expense of other players fun without any skill requirement. I'm very pessimistic about Doom 4 at the moment. And will probably not even play it at all for the next year.
