Corsair Air 540

You guys are arguing with a retard.

Replaced a 750w Corsair PS with a 1000w EVGA one. Didn't feel like re-running all the power cables, so I left the Corsair ones in place. Booted up, smelled ozone, and eventually came to realize I fried 2x4TB HGST drives and an Asus Bluray drive all in one fell swoop. It was a very expensive lesson to not assume that, although they might fit and plug in just fine, different manufacturer PS cables are not necessarily compatible with each other.

This dev and any devs who share his view should be outed and blacklisted from the videogame industry. This guy and his mentality is holding back the industry. Also, who gives a fuck about fair, and how is this unfair anyway? My graphics cards alone cost twice as much as either of these shitbox consoles do, so if anything is unfair it would be the fact that PC gamers that spend money on capable hardware are intentionally and artificially held back by inferior console graphic capabilities.

Qualcomm. Totally, Qualcomm.

How is your white pc case after a few years?
SixtyDashOne replied to Zhanlun Liang's topic in Power Supplies
I have a white NZXT Phantom 630 that I bought in 2013 and it still looks brand new. It's been sitting out in the garage for months and still looks great. Maybe I'll go snap a picture later. -
US is falling behind the world on LTE speeds
SixtyDashOne replied to sylarspock's topic in Tech News
No data when I posted, it was just a gut thought. But a quick google shows: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_4G_LTE_penetration US: 78% of a population of 321,605,012 = 250,851,909 LTE users AUS: 74% of a population of 23,920,500 = 17,701,170 If the numbers are even remotely correct, our infrastructure is dealing with a far higher number of LTE users here than you are. I've had a few too many beers to want to do math on any of the other countries. Saturation aside, like I said, I hate our ISPs and have all sorts of complaints about the business practices, but to complain about our LTE speeds is barking up the wrong tree. After posting I ran another speedtest and saw 36Mbps down, again during peak hours. -

Android user since 2011 and the 950XL actually has me thinking about at least experimenting with Windows Phone. Who knows, might hate it, but I'm verging on willing to try it at least. -
US is falling behind the world on LTE speeds
SixtyDashOne replied to sylarspock's topic in Tech News
LTE networks in the US are probably far more saturated than just about anywhere else. We've got 11yr olds here with the latest iPhone stuck to their grill, texting, facebooking and Youtubing 24/7. That said, I've seen anything from 15-40 down and 15-40 up at any given time regardless of peak or off-peak. I ran Speedtest just now and got 26 down, and this is during peak hours here right now. I have plenty of complaints about our ISP's, but LTE speeds ain't one of them. -

Hi there. I just got the LG 34UC87M-B this past Tuesday. I am running a EVGA 980 Superclocked (reference, not ACX) SLI rig. I have the monitor plugged into one of the card's Display Port outputs. There is a setting in the monitor's menu to run either "Display Port" or "Display Port 1.2". I've tried both and it doesn't seem like it makes a difference, although the monitor manual says something along the lines of "be sure that your device supports 1.2 before enabling the setting." I've done some searching and can't really find anything conclusive as to whether the outputs on my 980s are DP 1.2 or if they're regular DP, or if it should even matter which one I choose. Any advice? I'm using the DP cable that came with the monitor. Just not sure which setting I should be running - DP or DP 1.2? Or does it not matter?

Your GPU will be outdated way way way before any CPU you buy, whether 4, 6, or 8 core.

AIO coolers with high temperature readings?
SixtyDashOne replied to StillAzure's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
I don't own a 970 but that GPU just seems crazy hot for being at idle. I have an SLI 980 rig and they idle around 30c. Your single card is running literally twice as hot at idle as both of my cards. Seems wrong. I'm just imagining it's radiating a shiteload of heat into your case, but again I am not familiar with the 970s really. -
I just had a LG 34UC87M delivered from Newegg yesterday. Love it, this thing is awesome. That Acer looks great though. But I had money burning a hole in my pocket and needed something right now.
