Good laptops?

Hey everyone, a friend of mine is looking into getting a laptop. He'd like it to be capable of doing some gaming (probably rather demanding gaming). He doesn't have unrealistic expectations, and understands the limitations of a laptop. Does anybody have some recommendations for him? He isn't solid on his budget yet so a few price points would be awesome :D
