Slow pc after startup

djtt247

Hello there, I have an annoying problem with my pc, after my pc starts up, it becomes very slow, I can hardly start any programs, chrome pages just stay white and load forever, if i click on a window it  freezes.... The pc stays slow for about 15-20 minutes and the whole time my cpu sits on 5-6 % usage, sometimes 20. I tried many things and don't know what to do anymore.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

I5-4460

8 Gb kingston 1600 Mhz

ASRock H97M PRO4

Asus R9280-DC2T-3GD5

Corsair VS550 550W

Bios: SMBIOSBOPSVersion P1.00

Thanks for the help!

You got an ssd? Sounds like your HDD is loaded like crazy on startup for some reason.

KK Calling it right now it's HDD issue. Uncheck as much as possible to run on startup (most things don't actually need to run) and check task manager to look at the HDD utilization at startup. I'd be willing to bet it's sitting at 100% for that entire time.

Looks like disabling some of the start up items could help as well, be careful what you disable. MalwareBytes needs to be changed in it's settings to lower the priority of the scans but do not disable it in the msconfig. A SSD will help in the speed up as well.

Did I help you to fix your problem or at least did offer somewhat valuable advice? Consider giving my post a "informative" or "thumbs up".

I monitored my pc and my HDD sat at 100% the whole time :)

And what do you mean it reduces performance?
